At the end of a successful mission to save the world, you were able to relax on a beach trip with Wukong and the rest of the Monkey Crew. Unlike a certain dark furred simian, you had actually been invited to join along in the wind down day. The sun was bright, the winds were warm, and you were positioned in the beach chair right beside the King himself.
As you fiddled with your sunglasses, you saw movement in your peripheral vision. Wukong's tail was extended towards you, offering up a colorful tropical drink, as he regarded you with a wide grin. You smiled back, accepting the drink with your own tail. "Having fun, bud?" The Sage asked you as you took a sip. "As much as I can" you replied with a little snort "It's so hot out here. I wouldn't be surprised if it somehow sunburns through my fur" you joked.
To your surprise, you felt shade over you soon after. Wukong had pulled up his umbrella from the sand, placing it between you two instead. He tilted it a bit to make sure you were both covered. "There! Much better, huh?" He asked brightly. You shifted your chair closer to his "Yeah, thanks Wu". Wukong folded his hands behind his head, tilting it towards the sky to breathe in a huff of the fresh air.
As he did so, you could see a clear view of his stomach, especially due to his shirt being left unbuttoned. You had mostly ever seen him in his armor, even with all your years of companionship. He seemed to feel your gaze lingering under his torso, and he shifted in his seat as a result. "Ah, uh... haven't really been hitting the stone gym as much these days" he joked, a small and awkward chuckle following "Not really a hero's physique". You shook your head, sitting up a little "It's nothing to be ashamed of, Wu" you reassured "The whole point of being a hero is anyone can do it, right? Even a destructive self-proclaimed Sage" you teased. Wukong snorted a bit. "Thanks, bud, but still-"
"I'm serious," You added in gently. You scooted in more, to where your chairs were pressed as close as they could be "There's nothing wrong with how you look, Wukong. You're still the scourge of heaven and hero to Megapolis no matter what". As you spoke, you gently intertwined your tail with his, which he nervously reciprocated with a small chuckle. "Alright, I get it" he said lightheartedly. "Besides," You added, leaning in to rest your head on his shoulder the best you could, "I think it's attractive "
"Re-wuh-really?" Wukong asked, stammering a little. "Mhm" you hummed in confirmation "I love how it looks on you. Haven't you been keeping up with the mortals? 'Dad bods' are a very 'in' look right now". "Hah, but uh- do you- really not mind it?" Wukong asked tentatively. You hummed the affirmative, nuzzling into his arm. "Especially this here," You said, tracing the heart pattern on his chest with your claw. His breath hitched a bit, cheeks flushing warm at the contact. His tail swatted nervously as it stayed wrapped up with yours. "Oh yeah-!" He began, voice cracking from how flustered he got "Just one of the, uh- g-great things about me! Pssh, there's a lot of that, y'know!"
"You okay?" You asked, a bit of a knowing smirk on your lips "You seem kinda flushed". "Just the sun" Wukong replied, taking off his hat and waving it in front of his face to get some air "Man this umbrella really isn't doing much, want a popsicle?" He said quickly to divert the topic. He pulled out a popsicle shaped like an apple, holding it out to you with a crooked grin. You chuckled, accepting the treat "Thanks!". You sat back in your chair, absentmindedly gnawing on the cool snack as Wukong ate his own peach one. You looked out the corner of your eye, seeing how nervous he still was.
"I mean it, you know" you began softly, and Wukong looked at you curiously "hm?". "You really do look great" you said, smiling gently. Wukong returned the look. "If you like it that much, maybe I should wear an open shirt more often" he joked. He was surprised when he felt your tail sway excitedly against his "I mean, I wouldn't be against it" you said, attempting to keep it cool. Wukong smiled a little wider "I'll keep that in mind then"

characters - cole x reader
type - fluff!!
warnings - just some mild violence in the form of sparring
synopsis - the ninja a relying too much on their elemental powers and master wu needs some help reminding them of what’s really important who better to teach them than you??
“Breathe,” your mother reminded you gently.
Easy for her to say, she wasnt the one suspended in a middle-split between two rocks over a stream. Regardless, you did as she asked, feeling the air move in and out of your lungs and the sweat forming on your temple.
“The key is concentration–balance,” her voice came from the bank to your right.
Most of what she said you already knew having been doing this for years, but you didn’t mind.
In and out your breaths went, eyes closed, relying only on your hearing until you felt your mother’s presence hovering next to you.
Peaking your eyes open, she stood on a nearby rock smiling down at you.
“Very good,” she nodded, offering you a hand to help you up.
“Thank you,” you exhaled, stretching out your legs a bit after so long in your previous position.
Your mother smoothed your hair back before leading you across the stream and back onto the land where you promptly shoved on your shoes.
The two of you chatted beneath the warm sun and cool breeze all the way back to your house. Though even before entering, you heard voices coming from within.
You shared a look of confusion with your mother.
That was odd, your father should be the only one home at the moment.
You gently pushed the door open and followed the voices to your living room where you saw your father in a deep conversation with an older man.
“Wu!” Your mother chirped, rounding you to greet the stranger.
The old’s eyes crinkled as he smiled beneath his long wispy white beard. Your mother bowed slightly as a sign of respect, and you thought it only best to do the same.
Eventually, you all sat around the living room, each nursing a steaming cup of tea.
“What do we owe this visit?” Your mother asked kindly. Apparently your parents and Master Wu went way back. They learned all they knew from the man himself, which then trickled down to you.
Wu took a sip of tea before answering. “I wish to offer your daughter a job.”
All eyes moved to you.
A job? What kind of job?
Your back straightened slightly at all the attention. “Sir?”
Wu sighed wearily, “I have realized I may need more help than I currently have. Upon opening a tea shop, I have less and less time to teach my students.” He swirled his tea twice before his eyes set upon you. “Would you be open to helping out?”
“Oh, uh… your students are?” You trailed off.
“The ninja, dear,” your mother filled in gently.
Oh. The ninja? What could you possibly teach the ninja? Sure, martial arts was nothing new, and yeah you were trained in combat thanks to your father, but they had elemental powers for heaven's sake.
“I’m not sure how much help I could be,” you answered sheepishly.
“You do not need special abilities to teach,” Wu smiled. “And I fear the elements are why I am seeking this help in the first place. It appears my students are disregarding their training for their elemental powers.”
That made sense. Whenever you got frustrated while training with your father he always reminded you you didn’t need flashy powers to be strong. Because while they may be useful, there’s always a chance they can vanish, and then what?
Eventually you made up your mind. “Okay, I’ll do it.” You quickly looked to your parents, “If that’s alright with you?”
“Of course,” your mother wrapped her arms around you. “We know you’re in safe hands with Wu. Just promise you’ll call?”
“Of course,” you assured her as your father also joined in on saying goodbye.
Before long you were packed with enough things to last a few weeks. You might have to repeat some outfits for a while since the duration of your stay wasn’t specified. But you always had money you could spend on clothes.
“How do we get there?” You asked Master Wu after he informed you he and his students were residing at his tea shop, Steep Wisdom.
He glanced at you out the corner of his, and you just caught the glint of a smirk beneath his beard before golden particles started to form in front of you.
From those particles, something even greater arose. A dragon.
Your mouth gaped open. Wu laughed before tossing your luggage on top of the large white and gold dragon that had just materialized in front of you.
--
The dragon flight was frightening at first, but as you relaxed it wasn’t so bad. You got to see things from an all new perspective. Dragon-eye view style.
Eventually, through the clearing of teas you flew over, you spotted a cozy tea house nestled between the woods.
The dragon dipped lower and lower before let out a warning, “The dragon dissolves, can you stick the landing?”
“Of course,” you smiled. A drop from this height? Easy.
You prepared yourself, but the disappearance of the dragon beneath you still caught you off guard a bit. However, that didn’t stop you from landing perfectly on your feet.
Flawless, you thought as your luggage somehow landed just as gracefully next to you.
The space around you truly was beautiful. A wall surrounded the tea shop and courtyard, and you heard rushing water faintly in the distance, telling you there was some type of natural water nearby.
What you didn’t notice was the five boys lingering outside upon your arrival.
“Uh, anyone gonna introduce us?” A slightly high pitched voice asked.
You snapped your gaze away from the scenery and towards the voice. Five boys around your own age and dressed in colorful gis regarded you curiously.
Before you could introduce yourself, Wu cut in. “This is your new strength trainer. She’ll be taking over lessons when I’m busy. I expect each of you to treat her with respect.”
A course of “Yes, Sensei’s” were said before the bowed in unison.
Then, an older woman with a long braid falling down her back summoned Wu. Something about an inventory issue.
“Excuse me,” he said to you, and then to his students, “someone will need to show her to her new quarters.”
With that he was gone. And you were left with five teenage boys staring at you.
“Um, hi I’m (Y/N). Nice to meet you.” You stuck with a polite introduction.
“Hey there,” a brunette boy with somewhat spiky hair said. “You know we don’t usually get many new people, may you and I could–”
“Kai,” a tall boy with black hair, cut him off. “Don’t be weird. She just got here.”
“What?” Kai gaped. “I was just going to ask if–”
“I apologize for my brother.” This time the voice came from… a titanium robot? Now that’s something you don’t see everyday.
Clearly the surprise was written all over your face at the unanimous chuckle that came from each boy.
“I am Zane,” the robot didn’t seem phased by your surprise. “This is Kai, Jay, Cole, and Lloyd. Kai’s sister also resides with us, but I’m afraid she is busy helping Misako and Master Wu.”
“Oh, that’s no problem,” you responded. “Do one of you know where I’m staying? If I don’t unpack now I’ll never get it done.” You admitted with a laugh.
“I got it,” said the boy with black hair you now knew to be Cole. He walked over, and grabbed each of your bags as though they weighed nothing.
“You don’t have to do that, I can take some of them. I know they’re a little heavy but no one told me how long I’d be staying.”
“Please,” Cole smirked, “it’s nothing. I can lift more than ten times this weight.”
“Show off,” Kai coughed.
“You okay?” Lloyd asked him.
“Yeah just something caught in my throat,” Kai shook his head before coughing the phrase again.
Cole rolled his eyes at Lloyd and Jay laughed. Zane didn’t seem to get it. You even found yourself smiling at the joke before following Cole to your room.
“Don’t mind them,” he said. “They can be a lot sometimes.”
“Something tells me you also fit into that category,” you teased. You are who you hangout with afterall. Though it wasn’t always true, it seemed fitting for this situation.
“I guess you’ll just have to find out won’t you?” Cole joked, looking back at you over his shoulder.
Eventually the two of you climbed a set of stairs hidden in the back of the tea shop. Upstairs was a small apartment looking room with multiple sets of doors, one of them being your own room.
It was a decent size, about the same as the one you had back home, with plenty of closet space.
“It’s not much I know,” Cole said, “but there’s been worse places we’ve stayed trust me.”
“No it’s perfect,” you insisted. “I don’t need a whole lot to get by.”
Cole nodded, setting your stuff down. “There’s two bathrooms, the boys and I share the one on the left, and you’ll be sharing with Nya on the right.”
You nodded, looking around your new room, thinking of all the ways you could make it look homier. Cole didn’t say anything more, but he didn’t leave either. He simply stood in your doorframe, looking at you, looking at your bare room.
“What?” You asked him, smiling.
“Nothing,” he shook his head with a grin. “Sorry, I’ll let you get settled in.”
You wanted to tell him it was no problem, but he vanished before you could. Out of all the boys you had just met, was the best looking in your eyes.
Shiny black hair, tall, and built like the mountains he commanded. Your new job was off to a good start already.
It was well into the evening when you finally met Nya. She sighed thankfully at the sight of you. She loved her brother, and she didn’t have any problems with the boys. They were all equally respectful, but other than Misako she had no other girls to talk to.
You too were happy for another girl to talk to. There was only so much testosterone someone could be around.
The two of you got along quickly as you offered to stock some shelves with her. Even though you were technically here to train the ninja, you weren’t due to start until the next day.
Your alarm woke you up at six thirty sharp. You know you weren’t supposed to start with the boys until eight that morning, but you wanted to get an early start on your first day before you got lazy.
Passing your way to the bathroom, you ran through your morning routine groggily before you headed downstairs to make yourself a cup of tea to wake you up.
Scanning the shelves for something that looked appetizing for the early morning, you didn’t even hear someone approach you from behind.
“I personally like this one,” a familiar voice said from behind you before a hand shot out and grabbed a case off one of the shelves just a hair too high for you to reach.
You jump slightly, startled by the person’s presence.
Spinning around, you saw the voice and arm belonged to Cole. He was smiling softly at you, a case of green tea in his hands. He too held the appearance of just waking up–tousled hair, sleepy eyes, and the lack of a shirt with black plaid pajama pants.
You quickly averted your eyes from his bare chest and instead found refuge in his earth eyes.
“Why green?” You blurted. It was the only question you could think of at this moment. And maybe it would distract him from the fact you were ogling him just a bit.
“Helps with energy,” he shrugged, tossing the case up in one hand. “I’ll start the kettle.”
It took you an embarrassingly long time to follow him to the back of the tea shop where a small kitchen resided.
He filled the kettle up with water and placed it on the stove before taking a seat at the island next.
“I’d make you some breakfast, but I’m afraid it wouldn’t be edible and that’s not the first impression I want you to have of me.” Cole laughed sheepishly.
You laughed with him before you took it upon yourself to scope out the fridge.
“How do you feel about omelets?” You asked after finding multiple cases of eggs. With this many ingredients you would be able to feed the whole team.
“I’m down,” he nodded.
You closed the fridge slightly before you saw a slip of paper taped to the front. It seemed to be a list of written chores, and at the bottom written in all capital letters next to a star were the words, ‘COLE IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE KITCHEN UNSUPERVISED.’
“Jeez, what’d you do?” You giggled, gesturing to the paper.
The boy flushed slightly, shrugging his broad shoulders before saying, “You set fire to the oven one time and suddenly you’re untrustworthy.” He rolled his eyes.
“Funny how that works.”
“Hilarious.” He deadpanned.
“Well since you can’t help with the food why don’t you just grab anything you want to add to the eggs, help me find the pans, and I’ll take care of the cooking part.” You suggested.
“That I can do,” he slipped off the stool.
Even though he wasn’t helping with the actual breakfast, the two of you worked in harmony together. He’d hand you the spatula, chop some vegetables, and give you some spices upon request. However, when you thought you could trust him with cracking an egg and he ended up getting it all over his bare torso you took it upon yourself to tie a black apron around him.
“Seriously?” He laughed as you tied the knot around his waist.
“Yup,” you nodded. “Damn. I’d need a magnifying glass to find your waist.”
He tipped his head back and laughed as you returned to flipping omelets with a smirk.
At this point you had successfully made two cups of tea, and three omelets. On the fourth, you were starting to grow more confident.
“Think I could flip it without a spatula?” You asked.
“No,” Cole shook his head, now seated on the island behind you.
“No faith,” you gasped, offended.
“I’ll believe it when I see it,” he shrugged, leaning back on his palms.
“Oh yeah?” You challenged before grasping the pan handle with both hands. You’d never done this before, but how hard could it be really? The answer was not very as you successfully tossed up an omelet and caught it gently on the other side.
You cheered, victorious as Cole also encouraged you, both laughing all the way.
Eventually, more and more people started waking up, and the more competent ones (Zane) began to help you with breakfast.
By the time eight in the morning rolled around, breakfast had been done, dishes were washed, and you were gathered in the courtyard with each of the ninja. Wu had given you the rundown of what he’d like you to work on with his students, and that’s exactly what you’d do.
“So,” you said, shaking the jitters out of your hands. “I’m thinking I’ll just spar one on one with each of you to see what you need to work on. Okay?”
The boys traded uneasy glances. “Are you sure?” Jay asked.
You smiled a little at their apprehension. “Yes, I’m positive. We’re just sparring, remember. But don’t hold back, otherwise it’s just a waste of time.”
“Yeah, you get your ass handed to you by Nya all the time, this shouldn’t be different.” Cole patted Jay on the back.
The others laughed at Jay’s blush and he grumbled something inaudible under his breath.
“Okay Jay, since you’re so worried you’re up first.” You waved him over. “Sensei said no powers.”
“Right,” Jay nodded as he approached you slowly.
“I’m not gonna bite you, Jay.”
“I know that!” He defended as the boys behind him howled with laughter.
You couldn’t help but tease him as the two of you got into a fighting stance.
You dug your feet into the ground and steadied your breathing. The key to combat was focus, controlled breathing, and anticipation. At least that’s what your father told you.
It was no surprise to you that Jay attacked quickly. He was the master of lightning afterall. However, that was what made him so predictable.
He’d throw a series of quick jabs that you avoided with grace. With each attack you’d be just an inch out of reach. Jay was quick–but you were quicker.
You didn’t notice it, but the chatter was nonexistent, and Jay was wholly focused on sparring. Though the sweat building on his forehead, and his attacks slowing were also becoming more prominent.
He threw a high kick in there this time, which was just what you were waiting for. The second his foot came off the ground, you moved to the side, grabbed his ankle, and with your own leg, swept his balancing leg off the ground causing him to fall straight onto his back.
Jay landed with a wheeze, but you helped him up just as quickly. “Your attacks are precise, but they’re sloppy. You try to cram in a lot of combined attacks and hope for the best. If you slow them down a bit you’re more likely to land a few.”
Kai ‘Ohed’ from the sidelines. “You didn’t even get one hit dude.”
Jay glared at him as he took a seat beside Lloyd.
“And you won’t either, your turn.” You pointed to Kai.
The others laughed, but Kai rose, determination clear on his face.
You got into position again, but this time you’d change up your evasion techniques. Since he spent the previous match observing you he no doubt knew some of your moves.
Kai fought more aggressively than Jay, but with less accuracy making him easier to avoid. You twirled around him after a hard punch threw him off balance slightly. With your backs to each other, you only had a moment to grab his arm, crouch, shift your weight, and flip his body over yours.
Kai landed as hard as Jay.
After explaining his problem to him, you called up Zane next. You wanted to get the analyzing robot out of the way before you completely ran out of cards to play.
You had to admit, Zane almost got you, but you quickly threw yourself from his reach with a well timed aerial over his shoulder. Just as you landed he threw a punch, but you were ready for that. You crouched the moment you landed, and swept both his legs.
Standing quickly, you had just enough time to catch the front of his gi, suspending him above the floor ever so slightly. You felt a bit bad–you didn’t want to dent him after all.
Lloyd whistled, impressed, as he was finally called to the stand.
Lloyd, the green ninja. You knew he would also be pretty difficult, but it was like you were in a trance at the moment. You weren’t about to lose your winning streak, were you?
Being as flexible as you were didn’t hurt either. Sure the ninja were pretty flexible, but you could contort yourself into the most uncomfortable positions making it easy to avoid each of the ninja's blows.
All you had to do was wait until they tired themselves out, and then deliver the final blow. It was almost as if they were fighting themselves.
Lloyd looked concentrated, but his stance was off slightly. You feinted one way, and he fell for it easily, shifting all his weight onto one side of his body to prepare for the hit he thought was coming. Instead, you spun and shoved your shoulder hard into the opposite side of his body.
Lloyd crumbled like a house of cards.
When the green ninja retreated with a defeated look on his face, you were left with only one ninja now.
You suspected because of his height, Cole would be slow and off balance, but you were wrong. He was sturdy, and his height only added to his balance if anything. You’ve fought people bigger and stronger than you all the time, bad unlucky for him they only went down one way.
After a while of going through your song and dance of avoidance once again, Cole laughed.
“You’re slippery, huh?” He joked.
You winked before sliding between his legs, kicking the back of his knees and then once more between his shoulder blades to send him tumbling down to the ground.
“Wu was right,” you huffed, wiping the sweat from your forehead. “You guys rely way too much on your powers.”
“Alright, cough it up, where’d you learn that?” Jay asked.
“Learn what?” You laughed, helping a grumpy Cole from the floor.
“You flip around so much I got sick from just looking at you!” Jay whined.
“Lots of practice and some time in the cirque,” she shrugged.
“Like the circus?” Cole asked, looking down at you.
“Not the stuff with the tent and the animals,” you clarified. “More like the Cirque Du Soleil shows, you know? Anyway, I did a lot of acro as a kid. Made it easy to learn combat.”
“That’s awesome,” Kai said. “Have you ever juggled fire?”
“I told you, it’s not the tent type of circus,” you laughed. “It’s classier than that. That’s besides the point, you all have work to do. Lucky for all of you we’re going to start with yoga today! Just as a warm up.”
You giggled behind your hand at the unanimous groan coming from all five boys.

#1 Rule of Fake Dating: Don’t make it your go-to excuse for everything.
You learned this the hard way after telling Abby you had a ‘date’ to get out of her study session invite. Her eyes widened to proportions you never imagined possible as she gasped and demanded the full story of how you met your soulmate.
Before you could spin a convincing lie, your phone rang. The familiar ringtone makes you smile. For once, you were actually grateful for his annoying ass.
“What’s up, Brooky?”
Cole’s long-suffering sigh nearly makes you burst out laughing. “I’ll buy you a drink if you promise never to call me that again.”
You bid Abby a hasty wave goodbye, watching her slump back down in disappointment over not getting any juicy details. “Depends on how expensive it is.”
“You do realise that I don’t get paid for my heroism.”
You wince. “That’s so true. You guys should really talk to the mayor about that.”
“Right?” His voice picks up, clearly hitting a sore spot. “I mean, I already feel bad enough living off Cyrus’s goodwill, especially with all of us there.”
Sandwiching your phone between your ear and shoulder, you adjust the bag on your arm and hum in agreement as he continues. “Plus, I don’t know. Master Wu’s insistent on us doing everything for free, but I think the renovation costs might’ve made him reconsider taking on a few private requests.”
“What kind of requests?” You unintentionally tune him out as you exit the university grounds to look for him. Standing on your tiptoes, you scan the crowd. Nothing. You frown, craning your neck in hopes of spotting that familiar mop of black hair. “Where are you?” you mutter, your voice slipping into irritation.
“What was that?”
“I said–”
A firm tap on your shoulder cuts you off. Startled, you spin around and instinctively lash out, your fist connecting with someone’s side.
“Oof!” A pained grunt follows as Cole doubles over, clutching his ribs. Despite his wheezing, he still manages a crooked grin. “Is this how you treat your boyfriend now? Should I be worried?”
“Oh my god!” Your hands fly to your mouth, eyes wide with horror. “I am so sorry! You can’t sneak up on people like that!”
Straightening up, Cole gives you a mock-wounded look, still rubbing his side. “Noted. Next time I’ll announce myself with a trumpet.”
“Good,” you reply, crossing your arms but quickly softening. “You’re okay, though, right?”
“Define ‘okay,’” he teases, but his attention shifts as his gaze flicks over you. His brows furrow. “Uh… are we matching right now?”
You blink, glancing down at your outfit — a brown dress paired with a white bag — before looking back at him. He’s wearing a white shirt and long brown khakis.
It hits you both at the same time.
“No.”
“Oh, absolutely not.”
You gape at each other in shared offence.
“This is ridiculous,” you mutter, shaking your head.
Cole narrows his eyes, gesturing between you. “Who’s copying who here?”
“Obviously you copied me,” you reply, placing a hand on your hip.
He snorts, crossing his arms. “Sure, because I definitely planned to match my soulmate’s outfit for a date in public.”
“It’s not a date!” you hiss, glancing around as a few bystanders glance your way with interest.
Cole raises a brow, an all-too-amused smirk spreading across his face. “Oh, so you do admit I’m your soulmate? As in, accepted it?”
You groan, punching his arm lightly. “You’re impossible.”
“Maybe,” he says, stepping aside to take your bag. “But at least I’m fashionable.”
“Don’t push it, Brookstone,” you warn, stepping past him. He simply shrugs, an easy grin on his lips when you hand him your bag without a second thought. He slings it onto his shoulder, starting to walk with you.
“So, where’re we headed?”
“I’ve got a lesson with Master Wu today, remember?”
“‘Course I remember,” he huffs with a wounded tone, placing a hand on his heart. “What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t?”
“Okay,” you say, stopping abruptly in the middle of the sidewalk and turning to face Cole. Your tone is calm, but there’s a certain edge to it that makes him pause. “If you’re going to keep up this boyfriend act, then you better be prepared for the consequences.”
Cole raises a brow, clearly amused. “Consequences? Like what? You making me carry your bag for the rest of my life?”
“Worse,” you reply with a smirk, resuming your pace. He follows, though the grin falters ever so slightly. Good. Let him wonder. Let him wonder and forget till the day you fill his entire room with tiny rubber dildos, enough to make an army.
You’re just about to elaborate with another (hopefully) ominous sentence when a familiar voice calls out your name from afar.
You turn to see Holly heading your way, her usual bright energy radiating even from a distance. Next to her is a boy you don’t recognise at first, but when he comes into view you realise he’s the brother you met the other day.
“Hey,” you greet, waving as they approach. Cole glances at you questioningly but stays quiet.
Holly’s eyes flick to Cole, curious. “Who’s your friend? Is he…?”
You spot the perfect opportunity and take it, turning to Cole with a sickly sweet smile. “Oh, where are my manners?” Taking a step closer, you thread your arm through his. “This is Cole.” You bat your lashes for effect. “My boyfriend.”
The words that leave your mouth feel like poison, and you immediately feel like you’ve taken a nosedive straight into the fiery depths of hell. In your peripheral, you can feel Cole glance at you, his smirk widening.
Bastard.
Holly’s jaw drops. Her brother rolls his eyes at her reaction, crossing his arms. You recall his name starting with an L, trying to scrounge up his name from the tangled ball of yarn you call a memory when he suddenly speaks.
“Calm down,” he says casually, shrugging like he’s commenting on the weather. “They’re probably just soulmates. You don’t have to make such a big deal out of it.”
Holly scowls, swatting at the hand he’s using to poke her arm. “I know that, Leo. I was just surprised to see her, that’s all.”
The sudden mention of it makes you flinch. Fake dating or not, the fact that the truth is out there in its purest form of the word soulmates is enough to trigger the nerves in your chest. After spending so long denying it, you’re suddenly supposed to accept it?
Leo notices your reaction and shrugs again, unbothered. “Holly told me about you not finding your soulmate. Till now, I guess.” His gaze darts to Cole, “Honestly, it’s not everything people make it out to be. Besides, the whole thing is overrated anyway.”
The ease in his tone catches you completely off guard. For a moment, you forget Cole’s smirk or Holly’s wide eyes. Your lips twitch upward into a small, genuine smile. “You’re not wrong,” you admit softly, meeting his gaze.
Leo’s grin widens ever so slightly. “Glad someone gets it.”
Cole, apparently done being ignored, steps forward and extends his hand. “Cole,” he says, flashing a friendly smile. “Nice to meet you.”
Leo takes his hand, shaking it firmly. “Leo. I’m this dumbass’s brother,” he elaborates, gesturing to Holly who looks ready to shove his head into the wall. You wish you could do the same to your fake boyfriend.
Your gaze flickers to their hands, catching the subtle shift in Leo’s expression; a raised brow, the slightest tilt of his head. It’s quick, almost imperceptible, but you see it. Intrigue.
The handshake ends, and Leo steps back, his expression slipping back into its usual nonchalance. Holly doesn’t seem to notice anything as she starts talking to Cole about something you barely register.
“Oh, wait,” you say, digging into your bag. “Do you have Instagram? I should follow you.”
Leo nods, pulling out his phone as you exchange handles. Just as you confirm the follow, Cole’s voice cuts in, laced with over-the-top concern.
“Babe,” he says, the word so dripping with mock affection it’s almost painful. “You’re following another guy on Instagram? I’m starting to feel... jealous.”
You shoot him a side-eye glare that he ignores entirely, his grin widening. You can practically hear the smugness dripping off his words. Fighting the urge to shove him into the nearest wall, you plaster on an exaggerated grin.
“Jealous?” Leo echoes, smirking slightly.
“Of course,” Cole replies, slinging an arm over your shoulder and pulling you closer till you’re all but squashed against his chest. His very broad, muscular chest. “My Snugglebug here doesn’t just hand out her Instagram to anyone, you know.”
Snugglebug.
I’m going to kill him. Slowly. Painfully.
“Oh, but my love,” you say, voice sugary sweet as you lean into him, batting your eyelashes. “Don’t be jealous. You’re the only one for me.”
Cole’s smirk falters for a split second, and you know you’ve struck a nerve.
“Good,” he replies, recovering quickly. “Because I was thinking of getting us matching Instagram bios. Something like, ‘Forever & Always’.”
Holly bursts into laughter, while Leo watches with what you can only describe as amused bewilderment.
“Oh, that’s adorable,” you coo, patting his cheek. “But I was thinking something simpler. Like, ‘My Rock’.”
“Perfect,” Cole echoes, his voice dripping with mischief as he gently tilts your chin to face him. “I’ll change mine to ‘My Light’.”
Oh. Oh, he’s dead.
Holly clutches her stomach, still laughing, while Leo shakes his head. “You two are... something,” he mutters, his tone dripping with amusement.
You force a smile, plotting Cole’s imminent demise. “Aren’t we just?”
Cole squeezes your shoulder lightly. “The best couple, right?”
“Oh, come on,” Holly finally bursts out, half-laughing. “You two are insufferably cute.”
“Cute,” Leo echoes, though the shit-eating grin on his face makes you want to bury yourself six feet under and pray no one ever comes to your funeral. Scratch that, no funeral needed for your demise.
You step away from Cole, letting his arm drop, and shoot him a glare that promises retribution. He just grins back, smug as ever.
“Let’s go,” you mutter, grabbing your bag from him and stalking past Holly and Leo.
Behind you, you hear Cole chuckle softly. “Anything for you, Snugglebug.”
You don’t look back, but the intense heat in your cheeks are enough to tell you he’s won this round.
It’s only after you board the bus after waiting for ten minutes, hike up the mountain stairs (you’d gotten used to it at this point), and stormed past a perplexed Zane to grab some water and chug it down that you finally deign Cole with a scathing glare after the agony of silence.
“What’s wrong Snugglebug?” The bastard’s as smug as ever, leaning against the counter with a knowing smile. He tilts his head innocently, though his eyes gleam with mischief. “Did you want to take it to the next level? Change our Facebook status to ‘Taken’, perhaps?”
If not for the fact that the glass you’re drinking out of being classified as monastery property, you would’ve hurled it at his head without hesitation. Instead, you take a deep breath, set the glass down with no more than a soft clink, and plaster the tiniest smile on your lips.
“Cole?”
He’s wary now. You take a step toward him, the very picture of serenity when he suddenly takes a step back, slowly moving away to the other side of the kitchen. “What’s wrong?” You ask sweetly, watching him awkwardly smile back in response as his arm scrambles for something behind his back. “What’re you looking for, Cole?”
“Nothing,” he says, though you pick up on the smallest of trembles in his voice. “Just… loving how relaxed and completely okay with everything you are. Have I ever told you that you’re the best out of all of us?”
“Not at all,” you hum, stepping closer and closer to him until he’s flattened himself to the refrigerator door, looking down at you hesitantly. “The best, you say?”
“Mmhm.” He nods slowly, and you watch his Adam’s apple bob as he swallows. Your lips twitch ever so slightly, lifting your hand up. His eyes widen, gaze fixated on your hand as it swings down toward him.
And lands on his shoulder in the form of a gentle pat.
“Okay.” He watches you move away, heading to the sink to wash the empty glass. “I’m gonna go to Master Wu’s class now. You’re on bodyguard duty for the whole week, right?”
You can sense how flustered he is when he mumbles out confirmation, turning around and watching him stiffen noticeably when your eyes meet his. “Sounds good!” You chirp, placing the rinsed glass onto the dishrack and leaving the kitchen without another word.
— — — — — —
“Here’re the rubber... ducks you ordered.”
Zane holds out a small, nondescript package. His tone is neutral, but the slightest tilt of his head gives away his curiosity.
It had been two days since the whole fake boyfriend debacle with Holly and Leo, with Cole behaving more quietly ever since you cornered him against the fridge. He’d laid low, keeping jokes to himself and bristling each time you sent an emotionless smile in his direction.
But this morning, he’d seemed back to his old self, slipping in snarky little comments about your relationship.
Earth Ninja or not, you were thisclose to snapping the next time he referred to you as Babezilla in front of Kai.
But right now, you have more important things to focus on. Like the package in Zane’s hands.
“Thanks!” You say, grabbing the bag from him and clutching it to your chest like it’s some precious heirloom whilst grinning like an absolute madman.
Zane doesn’t move. He doesn’t speak. He just... stares. His eyes linger on the tightly wrapped block in your arms. You’re pretty sure if you poked him he’d teeter right before falling.
You can practically see the gears turning in his head, calculating every possible reason for your delivery. When his eyes narrow ever so slightly, you know you’re dangerously close to being interrogated.
You pat his shoulder, offering him your best reassuring smile. “Don’t ask.”
He blinks, his head tilting further. “But I wasn’t—”
“Don’t.”
Zane lets it go, though the way his brow furrows suggests this will remain an unsolved mystery he’ll revisit later.
Fat chance, my guy.
Clutching the bag tighter, you make your way toward Cole’s room. His music isn’t blasting through your head like it usually does when he’s nearby, a sure sign he’s out on patrol. Perfect.
As you reach his door, you take a deep breath, preparing for the task at hand. Operation Dildo Baggins was officially a go. You’d been sitting on this idea for a while with no official target, and now, with Cole’s recent antics (antics being the kindest possible way to describe the utter humiliation and embarrassment you’d been subject to with nicknames like Snugglebug, Babezilla, and worst of all…Babycakes), it felt like the perfect time to strike.
Slipping inside, you survey the space. His room is a mess, but it’s a mess you can oddly appreciate. Weights in one corner, a pile of laundry in another, and his bed unmade. The mattress practically has a Cole-shaped indent in it, while pillows lay haphazardly around.
You pull out the bag and unzip it, grinning at the contents. Tiny, brightly colored rubber dildos, all varying in size, shape, and shade. Some even had glitter. A stroke of genius, if you said so yourself.
Now, where to start?
You’re halfway through Operation Dildo Baggins when a sharp inhale makes you freeze. You slowly turn, expecting to be busted by Cole himself, when you see a wide-eyed Jay and Kai in the doorway.
Jay’s lips are parted, his gaze darting to the opened package on the floor, where its contents are spilling out, while Kai stands there with his arms crossed, one brow arched in silent amusement.
You glance from the sparkly pink palm-sized dildo in your hands to the two of them, trying to form a coherent explanation.
“...It’s not what it looks like.”
Jay erupts into a fit of giggles, pressing himself against the open door while he chokes on a shaky inhale. Kai steps inside, admiring your handiwork. You relent.
“Okay, it’s exactly what it looks like,” you relent, stepping down from the footstool you’re using to hide one of them above the closet. “It’s revenge. Or as I like to call it, Operation Dildo Baggins.”
Jay lets out an absolutely unhinged wheeze, sliding down the door frame as he laughs uncontrollably. “Dildo Baggins?” he chokes out between gasps. “That’s — oh my god — that’s genius.”
Kai strolls in, folding his arms as he surveys the chaos of tiny rubber dildos strewn across Cole’s room. “So,” he drawls with a smirk, “does this have anything to do with you being called–”
“Don’t,” you cut in sharply, jabbing a finger at him before he can utter the cursed nickname. Your glare is enough to make him pause. “I still have a coupon for another bag.”
He wisely shuts up.
“Anyway,” you continue, clutching the sparkly pink offender in your hand, “if you two idiots are here, you might as well help.”
Jay perks up immediately, eyes gleaming with mischief. “Oh, I am so in,” he says, practically bouncing as he steps over to inspect the pile, picking up a few he deems worthy. Kai shrugs, amused, and picks one up, flipping it idly in his hand.
“Alright,” you announce, “we’ve got to be smart about this. No obvious spots. Think subtle, think devious.”
Jay nods enthusiastically, like you’re outlining the master plan to a heist. “Subtle and devious. Got it.” Then, with an impish grin, he holds up Cole’s clear shower gel bottle, tilting it slightly to reveal the viscous blue liquid inside. “Ooooh, this is a good spot.”
You gape at him. “Jay–”
Before you can finish, he unscrews the cap and carefully slides in a few glittery dildos, where they sink and swirl lazily in the gel like the most ridiculous snow globe. He beams proudly.
“Perfect,” he declares, holding it up like a trophy.
Kai snorts. “That’s evil.”
You groan, pressing a hand to your forehead. “Teamwork truly does make the dream work,” you mutter, but you can’t help the small grin tugging at your lips as you snatch the bottle back and shove it into Cole’s shower bag.
“Focus, team,” you say, regaining your composure. “We’ve still got plenty more to hide.”
Kai tosses a dildo into the air, catching it with ease. “I call dibs on his sock drawer.”
Jay claps his hands together, rubbing them like an evil mastermind. “And I’ve got ideas for his weights.”
You’re fairly certain you’ve assembled the worst accomplices in history, or maybe the best. Either way, the amount of gleeful scurrying, whispered plotting, and the sheer evil glint in their eyes makes you think you’ve found your partners-in-crime for life. Operation Dildo Baggins had been an unparalleled success.
By the time you’re done, it’s time to unwind in the game room, the massive TV already aglow with the chaos of Overcooked’s cartoonish kitchen. Jay thrusts a controller into your hands while Kai rummages through the kitchen for snacks. They’d insisted you stay for dinner, and honestly, how could you refuse? A day of dildo-hiding makes a girl hungry.
“Okay, new plan,” Jay says, resetting the level for the third time. “You stay on cooking duty. I’ll chop, Kai delivers. We’ve got this.”
“Pretty sure you said that the last two times,” you deadpan, cracking your knuckles and adjusting your grip on the controller. “And yet, here we are.”
Kai returns with a bowl of chips, plopping down beside you. “Third time’s the charm,” he says, tossing a chip in his mouth. “Now stop arguing and start chopping.”
The game begins, and chaos ensues. You’re barking orders like a drill sergeant. “Jay, the tomatoes! KAI, THAT PLATE IS BURNT. WHY IS IT BURNT?!”
Jay is in another fit of giggles as he accidentally throws a perfectly good onion into the trash. “It slipped!”
“HOW DOES AN ONION SLIP?!”
“Guys, calm down–” Kai starts, but you cut him off, voice rising in desperation. “No calming! DELIVERY! We need that plate out NOW or we fail again!”
The door opens behind you, but you’re too focused on the timer ticking down and the chaos on the screen to look. The sound of a water bottle being uncapped and a few long gulps makes you hyper-aware of his presence, though. Not to mention the fact that you’d heard the faint melody of his usual playlist approaching the monastery which had made you accidentally throw away a good pot of cooked rice.
Cole.
You can feel his gaze on you, but there’s no time to address him. Not when Jay’s standing in the middle of the screen holding a pot and doing nothing useful.
“Jay, fuck off! Kai, DELIVER THE PLATE!”
“I’m trying!” Kai protests, nearly tipping over his drink in real life as he frantically mashes buttons.
It’s no use. The timer runs out, and the screen flashes a giant FAILED in bright red letters. You drop your controller with a groan, leaning back against the couch.
“That’s it. I’m done. You two are hopeless.”
“Hey,” Jay protests, “I’m great under pressure! Just… not in a fake kitchen.”
“You’d starve if we ever got trapped on a deserted island,” you mutter, reaching for a chip.
“Looks like you’ve got everything under control here.”
Finally, you glance over your shoulder. He’s leaning casually against the doorframe, his water bottle in hand, watching you with that infuriating smirk. Also, he was wearing a sleeveless tank top which, you hate to admit it, looked good on him. But also, his arms had the slightest sheen of sweat.
In conclusion, gross and yucky.
“Care to back that up with action, or are you just here to talk shit get hit?” you shoot back, crossing your arms.
“Oh, I’d destroy you,” he replies smoothly, taking another swig of water.
You snort. “Please. You’d fold under pressure faster than Jay did when I asked him to deliver a plate.”
“Hey!” Jay protests, only to pause. “Okay, that’s fair.”
Cole chuckles, setting his water bottle on a nearby table. “You sure about that? I’ve got quick reflexes and perfect hand-eye coordination. I’d mop the floor with you, just like I did when we sparred.”
“Big talk for someone who hasn’t even touched the controller,” you retort, a spark of competitive energy flaring up in your chest. “Also, I totally let you win.”
“Oh, this I’ve got to see,” Jay interjects, scrambling to set the game to player-versus-player mode. He tosses a controller to Cole, who catches it effortlessly.
“I’m not kidding,” Cole adds as he strides toward the couch. “You’re about to witness greatness.”
“Yeah, yeah,” you scoff. “Hope you’re ready to eat my dust.”
Before you can say another word, Cole leaps over the back of the sofa in one fluid motion, landing right beside you. You blink, startled by the sheer grace of it, but quickly mask it with a scoff.
“Fancy moves won’t save you here, Brooky boy,” you mutter, gripping your controller tightly.
“Oh, I don’t need fancy moves to beat you,” he says, leaning slightly closer, his smirk infuriatingly confident. You shove him away with disgust, suddenly aware of how close you are. Before you can move away, however, Kai makes himself comfortable and manspreads. You roll your eyes.
“Bring it,” you reply easily, choosing your avatar.
Jay, already giggling in anticipation, hits start. “Let the carnage begin!”
The match starts, and the game becomes a blur of chaotic, fast-paced action. Your fingers move furiously over the buttons as you fight to keep up with Cole’s surprisingly sharp gameplay.
“You’re getting slow,” he taunts, the familiar chime of bells signalling completed orders going off non-stop for both sides.
“Slow?” you hiss, eyes narrowing. “I’m just warming up.”
Kai leans back with a laugh, munching on chips. “This is better than TV.”
For a moment, your eyes dart to your competitor. Cole’s leaning slightly forward, his full focus on the screen, brows furrowed in concentration. The corner of his mouth twitches upward, that stupid smirk never quite leaving.
Then, it hits you. The scent.
It’s faint at first, but the more you notice it, the stronger it becomes. A warm blend of spiced cinnamon and vanilla, rich and inviting, like stepping into your kitchen during Christmas to sneak a few cups of hot chocolate with your mother. A pang of nostalgia washes over you, unbidden and completely out of place. You shake your head slightly, trying to ignore how oddly comforting it feels.
How does he smell this good when he hasn’t even showered yet?
Your avatar stumbles on screen, moving erratically as you remain stuck in that memory. Cole notices instantly.
“Losing your touch already?” he snorts, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye.
The sound of his voice yanks you back to the moment. “What? No!” you snap, glaring at him as you hastily mash buttons to catch up.
“Sure looks like it,” he teases, that insufferable grin widening.
Without thinking, you shove him with your shoulder. He barely budges, laughing as he nudges you back. Your heart is racing in your chest, though you quickly chalk it up to the pressure of the game.
The timer on the screen counts down to the final seconds, and your competitive streak kicks into overdrive. Your fingers fly across the controller as you focus all your energy on completing as many orders as possible. The kitchen on screen is pure chaos with ingredients on every inch of floor space, chopped cucumbers everywhere, pots almost overboiling, but somehow, you’re thriving in it.
Also, a part of it is on fire but with five seconds left, you’re prioritizing getting the food out rather than extinguish it.
“Come on, you’ve got this!” Jay cheers, leaning forward in excitement.
“Not a chance in hell,” Cole counters, his tone light but determined.
With a final flurry of button-mashing, the round ends. The results start to tally, both of you subconsciously leaning forward in anticipation. When the screen reveals you’d beaten him by two completed orders, a triumphant cry tears itself from your throat.
“I am unstoppable!” you declare, throwing your arms up like you’ve just claimed the title of world champion.
Jay hits a button on the controller, triggering cheers from the speakers. Kai sets off a party popper he somehow produces on cue. Confetti rains down, and you take a mock bow, basking in your victory.
Cole leans back on the sofa, swirling his water bottle in one hand, a soft grin playing at his lips. “You’re really proud of yourself, huh?”
“Obviously,” you say, spinning around to face him. “Beating you at anything is worth celebrating.”
His grin widens, and there’s a flicker of something in his gaze. Amusement, sure, but also a hint of challenge. “It was beginner’s luck.”
You scoff, crossing your arms. “Excuse me? I’ve been playing this longer than you’ve been doing your ninja stuff.”
“I’m just saying,” he drawls, sitting up straighter. “If we played again, I’d wipe the floor with you.”
Kai lets out a low whistle. “Oh, he’s laying it down now.”
Jay, grinning from ear to ear, grabs another controller. “This I have to see.”
Your eyes narrow at Cole, your competitive streak kicking into overdrive. “Fine. Rematch. But let’s make it interesting.”
He raises an eyebrow. “What, like a bet?”
“Winner gets to change the loser’s contact name for them. No swapping, no amendments. The name has to be kept and can only be changed through official Overcooked Betting.”
Cole eyes the hand you put forth, waiting patiently for him to shake it and accept the terms.
He takes it.
The stakes are set, controllers gripped, and tension hangs in the air as the rematch begins. The sound of clattering plates and sizzling pans fills the room, each of you hyper-focused on the chaos of the Overcooked kitchen. You’re determined to hold onto your victory streak, while Cole, equally motivated, keeps throwing glances your way, his smirk bordering on smug.
“Focus on your side, Cole,” you snap, dodging his attempt to distract you as his elbow inches closer to your ribcage. You swat it away with your arm, using the side of your head to bonk his shoulder.
“Multitasking is my specialty,” he shoots back.
Out of the corner of your eye, you notice Cole stealing glances at you between frantic moves, his expression equal parts focused and amused. You push harder, refusing to let him win.
Jay and Kai are on the edge of their seats, munching snacks as if watching the most gripping movie of the year.
When the final seconds tick down and the scores flash on the screen, you let out a loud groan. He’d beaten you by one order.
“No!” you cry, dropping the controller in defeat.
The tension leaves his body, relaxing against the couch with the air of an accomplished man. “Hand it over.” He puts his hand out to you, palm side up. You eye it, wondering if it’d be too late to order more rubber dildos.
“A bet’s a bet,” Kai reminds from beside you. Groaning, you fish out your phone from your pockets and toss it into his hand. He unlocks it easily, having seen your password before during another study session where he’d kept himself occupied with books while you furiously rushed an overdue essay.
With every ominous tap tap tap of his fingers against the screen, you bristle. His expression is infuriatingly focused, as if he’s crafting a masterpiece.
When he hands your phone back, you snatch it and glance at the new contact name. Your eyes widen in horror.
He’d changed the contact name from ‘Cole Brookstone - Ninja’ to ‘Cole <3’. It’s so simple, yet the heart he’d added after his name makes you wince. Your fingers ache, inching toward the edit icon before he hums disapprovingly.
“Can’t change it,” he remarks offhandedly, peering down at his nails with a frown. You can see the corners of his lips struggling to remain turned down, knowing full well the bastard is busy laughing his ass off internally. “You made the rules, not me.”
“Fuck you.”
“You wish.” His childish retort eggs you on, and you stick your tongue out childishly in turn. He makes a face, only to stop when you raise a fist and hit his side - lightly. He groans in exaggerated pain, clutching his waist.
“How could you, Babycakes?”
Jay’s loud gasp makes the heat rush to your face and coloring your ears crimson, narrowing your eyes. You can practically see Jay’s expression as he files away this juicy tidbit for later use.
“You did not just call me that,” you hiss, jabbing your finger at Cole’s chest.
“What? It’s your nickname for me,” he says innocently, though his eyes gleam with mischief. “Thought I’d return the favor.”
“That was not my nickname for you!” you snap. “It was–”
“Oh, I know,” Cole interrupts, cutting you off with a smirk. “It was ‘Cole Brookstone – Ninja.’ So professional. So... boring. I thought we meant more to each other than that.” He blinks innocently as he looks at you, his smile bordering on evil.
“Boring?” you echo, your tone dangerously low.
“Yeah.” He shrugs casually, like he isn’t goading you on purpose. “No creativity, no flair. Just straight-up boring.”
Your jaw drops, and you lean forward, pointing a finger at him. “Excuse me? You don’t get to talk about creativity when you put a heart after your own name. How is that not boring?”
“It’s not boring because it’s cute,” he counters smugly. “And admit it, you winced because you thought it was cute too.”
You open your mouth to retort, but Kai’s voice cuts through the bickering before you can let loose a string of curses you’re pretty sure would’ve gotten you banned from being around the monastery’s classes for elementary students.
“Okay, enough.” He steps between the two of you, holding up his hands like a referee breaking up a particularly petty fight. Also, he’d somehow produced two yellow uno cards from seemingly thin air, waving it at you both in warning. “You’re acting like toddlers fighting over crayons.”
“He started it,” you grumble, folding your arms.
Cole snorts. “Oh, grow up, Pumpkin Pie.”
Kai sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. Then, as you part your lips to fire back, he glances at you, a meaningful look in his eyes that reminds you of your earlier enacted revenge.
So, you press your lips together, taking a deep breath. Think mini dildos hidden in his pillow. Think glittery ones floating in his shower gel.
Suddenly, all the tension leaves your body, and you open your eyes with a serene smile.
Cole notices the change instantly, narrowing his eyes in suspicion. “What’s that face?”
“Oh, nothing,” you say calmly, turning away from him with a shrug. “Just decided to be a good sport and a role model for the younger generation.”
Kai catches the edge of your smirk and shakes his head, muttering, “You two are exhausting. Not even Nya was this much trouble growing up.”
Cole watches you carefully for a moment longer before relaxing back into the sofa, though the wary look doesn’t completely leave his face. “You’re up to something,” he mutters.
“Maybe I am,” you reply, not bothering to deny it. “What’re you gonna do about it?”
He frowns, aout to say something before you’re interrupted by Zane walking into the room wearing an apron that’s an almost offensive shade of bright pink. You have to double check to make sure you’re not just seeing things.
“Dinner is ready,” Zane announces before scanning your faces. “Have I interrupted something?”
No one moves or responds. The mention of food acts like a switch flipping in everyone’s heads.
“Nah, you’re good buddy,” Kai groans, standing and stretching dramatically. “I’m starving.”
“Same,” Jay says, bounding after him. He throws a playful arm around Kai’s shoulders as they head for the dining room.
You follow at a more leisurely pace, Cole casually falling into step beside you. Neither of you speaks, the earlier bickering melting into a comfortable silence as the scent of freshly baked bread and herbs fills the air.
When you reach the dining room, the table is set with steaming dishes spread across it. Master Wu, Nya, Lloyd, and Pixal are already seated, pausing their discussion when you all enter.
For a moment, you notice the way Master Wu and Lloyd change their grave expressions into a wide smile, though there’s still a solemn tint to their eyes. Part of you bristles, but curiosity is easily buried by hunger.
Without a second thought, you and Cole gravitate to seats next to each other. It’s unconscious, natural, and nobody comments on it outright, though Nya raises an eyebrow as she glances between the two of you.
You happen to look up and meet her gaze, raising a brow in silent question. She just smiles and looks away to chat with Jay.
“Wow,” Lloyd says, leaning forward to inspect the spread. “Zane, you’ve outdone yourself. Again.”
“Is that herb-crusted salmon?” you ask, practically drooling.
“And garlic knots,” Cole adds, pointing to a heaping basket.
“Correct,” Zane replies with a slight bow of his head. “I’ve also prepared a vegetable medley with a lemon-butter glaze and rosemary roasted potatoes.”
“It smells amazing,” you say, eagerly reaching for a garlic knot.
“Smells amazing?” Cole laughs as he piles his plate high with potatoes. “It looks like a five-star restaurant in here. Zane, you’re spoiling us.”
“Preparing meals for my friends is not spoiling,” Zane replies evenly. “It is an expression of care.”
“You’re the best, Zane,” Lloyd says, already chewing on a piece of salmon. “Seriously, I don’t think I could go back to eating instant noodles after this.”
“Not with Zane around,” Pixal chimes in, a small smile tugging at her lips. “He would somehow make them gourmet.”
Jay leans toward you, whispering theatrically, “Don’t let him fool you. Zane’s just trying to make sure we can’t eat anywhere else without missing him.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” Nya teases, nudging Jay with her elbow.
“Not complaining,” you quip, popping a piece of garlic knot into your mouth and groaning. “Oh my god, this is ridiculous. Zane, how do you make everything taste so good?”
“Precision,” Zane answers simply.
Cole nods, as if Zane’s simple explanation made more impact than any of Master Wu’s advice ever did. “I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Zane is the kitchen ninja.”
“More like the ninja chef,” Nya says, smirking.
“Or the ninja of nourishment,” Lloyd adds, earning a snort from Jay.
Master Wu chuckles softly, his hand resting on his teacup. “It is good to see you all enjoying yourselves. Bonding over food is an ancient tradition.”
“Especially when the food is this good,” Cole says, digging into his plate with gusto.
“Damn, leave some for the rest of us,” Nya says. You can only stare with begrudging respect as she spears a roasted potato off of Cole’s plate with a cartoonishly long fork that extends to his plate without the need of standing up. She catches you looking at it, grinning widely as she pops the stolen goods into her mouth. “Like it?” She asks through mouthfuls, carefully waving it around. “Crafted it in the workshop today.”
“Hey!” he protests, but it’s half-hearted.
“Sharing is caring,” Pixal says lightly, passing a dish to Lloyd, who is too focused on his meal to notice her amused smile.
You scoff playfully. “Not with these potatoes. If you guys aren’t fast enough, I might empty the whole thing.” Glancing over when you feel a nudge, you roll your eyes at Cole’s earnest gaze. “Fine, I suppose you can have a piece.”
Kai gags. “The couple are so sweet it’s disgusting.”
“Not a couple,” You and Cole automatically reply in sync, shovelling more food into your mouths and munching. You don’t have to lift your head to see the sceptical glances exchanged, putting aside your usual snarky replies to focus purely on enjoying every bite of Zane’s cooking.
“You wonderful, wonderful man-droid.” You mumble out between bites. Zane nods his head in humble thanks, Cole muttering a similar sentiment.
The rest of the meal passes in a flurry of light-hearted jabs and never-ending enthusiastic praise for Zane’s culinary talents (all of which which the man-droid rightfully deserves). Plates were cleared, dishes stacked, and as the group slowly disbanded to their own devices, you found yourself lingering in the quiet warmth of the dining room, helping Master Wu wipe down the table.
“Thank you for letting me stay for dinner so often,” you said, glancing at him with a soft smile. “And for letting me hang out at the monastery so much. It’s… nice to be here.”
Master Wu paused mid-swipe, his wise eyes crinkling with warmth. “The monastery welcomes those who find comfort within its walls.”
You tilted your head at his cryptic tone, sensing there was more to his words. “That’s… oddly specific.”
He chuckled softly, folding the cloth in his hands. “You are exactly where you are meant to be, young one. Even if the reason has not fully revealed itself yet.”
You frown, your brows knitting together. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
He gives you a knowing look, one that somehow carries both gravity and lightness. “You will understand when the time is right.”
Before you can press further, the sound of footsteps draws your attention. Cole appears in the doorway, hands shoved into his pockets with a relaxed grin.
“Ready to head out?” he asked, his voice casual but his gaze lingering on you for just a moment too long.
You glance back at Master Wu, who merely nodded as if to say the conversation was over.
For now, that is.
“Yeah,” you say, grabbing your jacket and stepping toward Cole. “Thanks again, Master Wu.”
“It is always a pleasure to have you here,” he replies with a small bow, his tone warm. “Safe travels.”
Cole holds the door open for you as you step out into the cool evening air. Comfortable silence falls over you both like a warm blanket, walking toward the doors. The stars twinkle above, and there are barely any clouds above you both to obstruct the view.
One of the perks of living on the peak of a mountain, you suppose.
“Did Wu drop one of his cryptic wisdom bombs on you?” He asks after a beat, his tone teasing.
You huff in amusement. “Something like that.” You pause, tugging your jacket. “Do you ever understand all that weird cryptic stuff he sometimes spouts? Just last week he was telling me about not jumping out of a well.”
Your response elicits a laugh from him, the sound deep and easy. You find yourself smiling at it, a warmth in your chest as you look at him. “Honestly?” He sighs, hands deep in his pockets as you make your way down the stairs. “I just smile and nod, then just hope I’ll figure it out somehow.”
“Really?” Your interest is piqued. “How about when you saved the world and all that? Couldn’t have done it without deciphering his mysterious sayings.”
He grins. “You should’ve seen the way we were all racking our brains, trying to understand what he was saying. It was worse at the start, before we all knew Lloyd was the Green Ninja.”
“Worse? How?” you ask, your curiosity pushing a teasing smile to your lips as you both reach the end of the stairs and make your way over to the bus stop.
Cole shakes his head, his grin widening. “We were clueless, running around like headless chickens. Wu would drop some riddle about balance or destiny, and the rest of us would argue for hours about what it meant. There was this one time–” He breaks off, laughing to himself.
“What?” you prod, nudging his arm gently.
“There was this one time Wu told us we had to ‘look inward to find the strength to move forward.’” He mimics Wu’s calm tone, his expression mock-serious. “So naturally, Kai thought it meant we needed to meditate or something. He sat us all down in a circle and tried to lead a group meditation. Jay couldn’t stop cracking jokes, and Nya fell asleep within five minutes.”
You burst out laughing at the image. “What about you?”
“I just sat there thinking about how hungry I was,” he admits, shaking his head with a self-deprecating chuckle. “Turns out, all Wu meant was that we needed to believe in ourselves. But, you know, saying that plainly wouldn’t be very ‘Master Wu.’”
“Of course not,” you agree, grinning. “Mystical vagueness is his brand.”
As the two of you reach the bus stop, you glance at him. “So… did all his cryptic advice ever help? Like, for real?”
Cole nods, his expression softening as he looks at you. “Yeah, it did. Sometimes not right away, but it always made sense when it mattered most. Like when we were trying to stop the Great Devourer… or when we were facing the Overlord. Those were times when his words stuck with us, even if we didn’t get them at first.”
The bus pulls up, and the two of you step on. Cole fumbles briefly, patting his pockets with a furrowed brow before finally pulling his transit pass from his back pocket. “When you travel by dragon, bus passes don’t exactly come to mind,” he mumbles defensively. You roll your eyes with a playful smile as you both settle into seats near the back. As the city lights blur past the window, you glance at him again, catching the thoughtful look on his face.
“What about you?” you ask, leaning slightly toward him. “Was there ever a moment where something Wu said clicked for you?”
He smiles, but it’s a little more subdued this time. “Yeah. Back when we were stuck in the Cursed Realm, Wu told me, ‘A leader doesn’t just carry others; they let themselves be carried, too.’”
You tilt your head, intrigued. “What did that mean?”
“It meant I didn’t have to do everything alone,” he says quietly. “Back then, I felt like I had to shoulder everything for the team. But Wu was right. Being a leader means letting the people around you support you, too.”
You let the thought sit for a moment, then give him a small smile. “Sounds like solid advice.”
“It was,” he agrees, glancing at you with a faint smile of his own. “Even if it took me a while to figure out.”
The two of you share a quiet moment, the conversation lulling into another comfortable silence as the bus hums along. It’s only when you notice his reflection in the window with his expression relaxed, the corners of his lips slightly curved… You feel the odd warmth in your chest again.
“Thanks for sharing,” you say softly, your voice barely above the hum of the engine.
He glances at you, his grin returning, playful now. “Don’t get used to it. I’m not usually this talkative.”
“Oh, I won’t,” you reply, smirking. “Wouldn’t want you to ruin your mysterious tough-guy image.”
The bus finally reaches your stop and the both of you tap out. Your apartment building is within view, but a part of you lingers, your footsteps slower as you approach. “Got any plans for next Saturday?”
You hum in thought. “Only to pick up the cake I ordered a while back.”
“Oh. I’ll tag along.” You glance at him, mildly surprised at the statement. He catches your look, raising his brows in question. “I gotta stock up on croissants. It’s been ages since I had some of his cinnamon rolls too.”
“Where do you even find the space for all that and not gain weight?” You ask, though it’s more to yourself in jealousy than an actual question. Unfortunately, he hears it.
“Having a gym in-house does wonders when you can’t sleep.” His voice is tinged with something you recognise instantly — sorrow. You’re about to ask, but decide against it when you see the look on his face.
“You can pick me up in the afternoon then,” you say lightly, looking at a random streetlight. He hums in agreement. “And let’s try not to match again.”
That gets a chuckle. “Don’t you mean ‘try not to copy me’?”
“You’re impossible.”
The lift is only a few paces away. You feel him stop, turning to see one hand shoved into his jacket pocket, the other hanging loose at his side. His posture seems effortless, but there’s something steady about it, like he’s rooted to the spot. The faint light from the hallway catches the curve of his smile, his gaze soft and lingering, almost bordering on fond as he looks at you.
“Goodnight, Snugglebug.”
Scoffing, you enter the lift and press the button to your floor. “Goodnight, Brookstone.”
For tonight, you’ll let him get away with this one.
— — — — — —
It’s around midnight by the time Cole reaches the monastery. He’d taken his time on the way back, stopping by a convenience store to pick up some pre-cooked chicken breast, planning to microwave one as a snack after tonight’s gym session.
He grabs his headphones from the lounge but pauses, setting them back down onto the table.
She’d probably be asleep by now, right?
He leaves without his headphones, entering the gym where Lloyd is busy doing his usual sets. Both of them were the more regular visitors, having encountered the other far too many times at odd hours to instinctively understand the dark rings under their eyes and haunted tinge in their gaze.
“So,” Lloyd breaks the silence, glancing over as he lowers the speed on his treadmill. “Your soulmate, huh?”
Cole exhales sharply, the weight of the question hitting heavier than the bench press he’d just finished. He’d been waiting for Lloyd to bring it up but didn’t expect it to be now, in the middle of their usual workout session. “Yeah. We’re not exactly eager about it either,” he says, walking over to the bench and starting a few stretches. His tone is casual, but there’s a hint of tension in his shoulders. “It won’t impact my duties.”
“Oh, I wasn’t suggesting that.” Lloyd raises his hands in assurance, though his thoughtful gaze is now fixed on his teammate. “I’m just saying, it must be exciting, right? Meeting the person you’re supposedly destined to be with.”
Cole snorts, shaking his head. “Destined. Right.” He shifts his position, stretching out his arms. “It’s not like that. We’re just... soulmates in name. That’s it.”
Lloyd hops off the treadmill, grabbing a towel as he narrows his eyes at Cole. “Sure doesn’t seem like it’s just a label.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Cole asks, arching a brow.
Lloyd shrugs, leaning casually against the nearby wall. “I mean, you’re... different around her. Like when you got all defensive when Kai tried to eat her fries the other night.”
“She was clearly going to eat them!” Cole protests, the words spilling out faster than he intended.
“And how you knew her favorite bubble tea order?” Lloyd adds with a sly grin.
Cole freezes for a second before recovering with a huff. “She mentioned it once.”
“Uh-huh.” Lloyd tilts his head, his smile widening. “And that time you made sure to save her a spot during movie night, claiming it was ‘just coincidence’ when she showed up?”
“Coincidence,” Cole insists, though the tips of his ears are turning pink.
Lloyd’s smile falters, his expression softening. “You really don’t see it, do you?”
“See what?” Cole mutters, crossing his arms defensively.
“How much you notice about her.” Lloyd’s voice is quiet but steady. “The little details. The way you remember stuff she’s only said once, or how you pay attention to what makes her laugh or what annoys her. It’s not just about being soulmates, Cole. You care about her, even if you’re too stubborn to admit it.”
He scoffs, shaking his head. “I don’t—”
“Last week, when she complained about being cold, you handed her your jacket without thinking,” Lloyd cuts in, raising a brow. “No one even asked you to. And don’t tell me that’s just duty or being polite.”
For a moment, Cole doesn’t say anything, his jaw tightening as he looks away. “It’s... nothing. She’s part of the team. That’s all.”
Lloyd lets out a soft laugh, pushing off the wall. “Whatever helps you sleep at night, man. Just don’t wait too long to figure it out. Soulmate or not, people don’t stay in one place forever.”
Cole scowls at his retreating back. “For the record, this is worse than when Master Wu tried giving us the talk about the birds and the bees.”
He can vaguely make out the casual “deal with it” that Lloyd remarks as he turns a corner. Rolling his eyes, he shoves all lingering remnants of their conversation into the back of his head before continuing his workout.
After two more hours pass, he finally decides he’s had enough, heading to the kitchen where he’d dropped off his chicken breast from earlier, waiting for the microwave to heat up when he spots a text from you that he’d missed.
He picks it up, reading it before his brows furrow in confusion.
What’s a Dildo Baggins?

you’re not short by any means, being a mediocre average height your entire life meant you had blended in with everyone else
well that, and your natural shapeshifter abilities, but after going through an identity crisis in your ripe teenager years, you usually felt most comfortable in your own skin
however, at the Wu Shi Academy, being average height meant that you were actually short
you wonder what they were feeding the other combatants because Johnny, Kenshi, Kung Lao, and Raiden all tower over you by several inches
and none of them let you forget it, constantly resting their elbows on your shoulders and making you their counter to rest on
it had led to quite a few bruises, mostly for Johnny and Kung Lao, but even Kenshi and Raiden had their moments where they teased you for your height
the jokes didn’t make you uncomfortable, not your height, with your shapeshifting ability, you could just be taller than them, but you hadn’t ever felt the need to
unless Liu Kang was around
he wasn’t that much taller than any of them, perhaps just by an inch or two, but still, his height, his broad shoulders, and his calm and gentle attitude had you sweating every time he came around you
embarrassing as it was, the way he towered over you always sent all the blood rushing downwards and for your tongue to twist into knots and for your body to feel as hot as burning coals
if Liu Kang ever noticed the slight demeanor change, he didn’t mention it, simply giving you that gentle smile and a reassuring hand on your shoulder
you’re sure that it would be the death of you, the soft but firm words, the gentle tone, the slight rasp in his voice as he gave orders to all of you
every time his hand touched you, you could never help but imagine his fingers touching elsewhere, buried in your hair, gripping onto your thighs, thrusting into your-
you jolt out of your thoughts as Kung Lao roughly elbows you in the side during breakfast, asking what’s got your head so high up in the clouds
scowling at the monk, you slap at his shoulder and pick up your spoon to finish off your breakfast of congee
he winces at the contact and dramatically drapes himself over Raiden, bemoaning about how his closest friend just beat him so viciously and that he would need a kiss to heal it
Raiden rolls his eyes, but the soft smile playing on his lips betrayed his true thoughts as the farmer turned his head to place a gentle kiss upon the monk’s lips
Johnny sighs from across the table, bemoaning just as dramatically as Kung Lao about saving the smooching for the bedroom, and Kung Lao simply flips off the actor before grabbing on tighter to Raiden, determined to put on a show and piss off Johnny as much as possibly
you just roll your eyes at the love sick sight and tip the bowl back, emptying the bowl of its congee, and you excuse yourself from the table just as Kenshi hisses at Johnny to stop being so overreactive
the start of another catfight begins, and you let out a quick huff of hair from your nose, shaking your head and smiling
absolute idiots, but you loved them all nonetheless
as you walk back, you stare at the ground, counting the tiles your feet step on and dodging the cracks in the concrete pavement, and you think back to Liu Kang
you liked Liu Kang, to say the least, it wasn’t exactly hard to figure out your own lust when you had first saw him, and your feelings for him only grew stronger the longer you had hung out with him
he was kind, thoughtful, and most of all, so gentle and warm, and you snort at the irony of him being warm and being the god of fire
but still, your thoughts veer back on track as you think about him and you
you’re just a mortal, a human, a human with shapeshifting powers but human nonetheless, and he was a god, almighty and powerful and much more experienced and aged
it wouldn’t do you any good to desire him, to go after him, and you had tried to squash your own feelings for him, using your powers to match his height whenever he came around
a feeble effort to try and mitigate one of the reasons you liked him, but it wasn’t doing much good, not when his voice affected you more than anything or the way he held himself or the way that he was just so understanding and willing to listen and-
you barely manage to sidestep someone in front of you as they come into your field of view, and you snap your head up, shooting up in height as an instinctual reaction at the sight of Liu Kang
he cranes his neck to look at you as your head crashes into the ceiling above, and you let out a small groan and slowly diminish in height as you rub at the top of your head
Liu Kang asks if you are alright, and you wave him off, saying that he had just caught you by surprise
you shrink down to match his height and watch as he slightly quirks his eyebrow at you, wondering why you hadn’t shrunk down to your original height yet
shifting your weight, you say that you walk faster with long legs and that you should return your bowl to the kitchen and get back before Johnny and Kenshi get into a fight
the god lightly chuckles, just a small laugh and one barely audible over the slight breeze in the wind and the background of monks chanting in the background, but you think you’re about to fall over as heat rushes to your cheeks
how was he so attractive even just doing a simple thing
you give him a sheepish smile and hurry off to the kitchens, mumbling that you really have to get going, and you don’t notice his eyes following you as you speed walk away
when you come back to the dining room, Raiden sits next to Kenshi while Kung Lao sits next to Johnny, the actor and swordsman sporting congee on top of their uniforms as thy shoot ugly glances at each other while the farmers try and calm each other down
it seems like today would be a long one
training that day goes just as well as this morning, Johnny and Kenshi refuse to spar with anyone else but each other, leading to Liu Kang having to monitor their matches closely
you haven’t changed back into your normal height, and while you aren’t adverse to using your powers for extended periods of time, your skin was starting to crawl with the need to go back to normal
but still, something instinctual tells you to stay tall, to try and reduce your attraction to the god, and so you focus back on your own spar with Kung Lao
the monk smirks at you and beckons you toward him, and you reciprocate his grin before finally lunging at him
it’s a long match, drawn out and long, and unease prickles underneath your skin as you fight him in your changed height
you were used to fighting while average height, easier to move faster, to land lower blows, and now that you were taller than him, you were struggling
still, in the corner of your eye, you can still spot Liu Kang at the training fields, observing and watching you all
so you stay in your modified height and take the blows from Kung Lao, trying to change your strategy to incorporate your height
the match drags on for a few minutes, and you feel proud of yourself for managing to hold on this long
at least until Kung Lao kicks you onto your back with a particularly powerful blow, and your head smacks against the ground
pain explodes in the back of your head, and you groan, feeling your body twitch and change and morph as it struggles to deal with the pain
you don’t realize you’ve closed your eyes until the blurry figure of Liu Kang appears in your vision, blocking out the harsh sun as he asks if you’re okay
even in pain, your brain still manages to change the position dirty, filling your head with images of him bent over you in a different situation, skin sweaty and hot, hair disheveled and lips kissed swollen
he calls your name, and you let out a meek yes, sounding a bit whinier than you had wanted to, and Liu Kang sighs in relief and brings his hand to your shoulder to help you sit up
it burns your skin, the heat off of his palm, and you hope and pray that he can’t hear how your heart starts beating rapidly or how your face grows flush and sweaty underneath his touch
Liu Kang tells you he's going to bring you to the infirmary, turning his head away to briefly tell one of the monks overseeing that they are now in charge
his hands stay on your body as you stand up, the world still slightly spinning before you, and your head sways as black dots swim at the top of your vision
the god purses his lips and starts to guide you in the direction of the infirmary, his feet keeping pace with your now shorter legs
the longer and longer you walk to the med bay, the more your head clears, and the more you’re aware of his hand on your shoulder
of both of his hands on your shoulder and how you’re, at best, shoulder height now
you meekly try and push your way out of a visit to the health clinic, but he stares down at you with a hard gaze, and your protest dies in your throat as you try and reel in your own lust for him
it gets appreciably harder when he sits you down in the cot and inspects you himself, asking you questions in a low tone of voice as his hands move to you head to inspect for any swollenness
your voice strains to sound normal as you try to answer his question, the pain in the back of your head gone and replaced with the feeling of butterflies whirling inside of your stomach and liquid hot lust dripping down into your body
he hums and finishes his inspection, sighing and saying that you should be more careful, that using your powers for any longer than a few hours was something to be worked on gradually
besides, your strengths lay with your smaller stature, allowing you attacks that none of the other defenders could feasibly do
you nod your head, trying to avoid eye contact, lest he look into your soul and found the depravity hiding within
his brows furrow, and he tells you to look at him and to answer him with words, that he needed to make sure you understand
god take you now because you might actually stain the bed cot with how wet you are at his commanding tone of voice
you take too long to answer Liu Kang, and he gently raises your chin up to look at him, your neck straining upwards to look at his stern eyes and furrowed brows as he await your answer
it catches you by surprise, his hand on your face, and an involuntary whine slips out of you at the casual dominance
perhaps it would’ve been better if you had blacked out earlier because at least you wouldn’t be stuck in this uncomfortable situation
your face burns with embarrassment, mouth slightly parted at the fact that you had just whined, and Liu Kang lifts his eyebrows in slight surprise
his hand doesn’t falter, however, on your chin, and he cocks his head at you, blinking as you try and sputter out words and excuses or really anything
he shifts in his position, somehow now looming over you, his broad shoulders completely blocking out your vision and his thumb slips itself in between your parted lips
damn you and your body because you immediately go limp in his hold, mouth instinctively closing around his finger as you let him just lean over you
a small coy smile plays on his lips, and you’re too focused on trying to snap out of how good this all feels to realize that he figures out why you’ve been avoiding him lately
Liu Kang lets out a gentle huff of air, drawing his thumb out of your lips, but you don’t have any time to whine as he places his large hands on your waist and easily transfers you from the bed cot and into his lap
your thighs spread around his, trapping his legs in between yours, but you feel more expose as he spreads his legs, forcing your own to spread as well
even sitting in his lap, you’re still shorter than him, and he takes full advantage of this fact as he presses one hand into the small of your back to force you into the warmth of his skin as he leans forward, bending your back into a bow-like shape
you can’t think, can barely even breathe as your hands settle onto his shoulders, squeezing at the firm muscle to try and ground yourself into reality
even that grows difficult as he leans his head forward, nose bumping into yours, eyes boring down painfully through you, as if he could hear and see every thoughts, peeling away the layers of your mind to find your dirtiest fantasies about him
Liu Kang breathes out, eyes still focused onto yours, and you look away, turning your head to the side and squirming slightly at just how intimate this all was
he frowns at how you avoid his gaze, and his hand at your back goes to squeeze your thigh while his other cradles the back of your neck, squeezing it like he was scruffing a cat
his chest vibrates as he orders you to look at him, and you can feel something nervous grip onto your heart, squeezing and squeezing as you force your head to turn to look at him
you think you’re going to die because you’re so turned on right now that you can’t even process how Liu Kang clenches his jaw, trying to hold onto the small thread of control over himself
praise falls from his lips, saying that you were so good for following his command, and your hips rut forward of their own volition, desperately seeking for some sort of friction on your aching clit
Liu Kang hums at your neediness, eyes never leaving yours as he squeezes at your waist, and you whine again as you grind against empty air
it’s overwhelming how he surrounds you, the scent of ash and green tea in the air, his eyes boring into your soul, the warmth of his hand on the back of your neck, your thigh
as if the god knows, he leans his head forward to consume you completely, lips moving towards yours, and he pauses, just to let you have a choice to push him away just in case
you surge forward, wanting him to devour you, to completely surround you in his heat, and he groans and leans into you further, arching your back into a strained curve
but the ache of your muscle is negated by how his lips taste you, tongue dragging over your lips, low groans into your mouth that you can barely hear over the blood rushing in your ears
he kisses you like a starving animal, pressing into you further and further, seeking more and more of you until you had nothing more to give and then taking some more
your mind is melting, you’re pretty sure it is, and it doesn’t help when his hand on the back of your neck trails up and threads through your hair, pulling you head back as his lips move to your neck
his lips are soft against the skin of your neck, teasing and soft, leaving fervent kisses along the expanse of it, but you want more and gather what little grasp of your will you have left
you trail one of your hands on his shoulder down and shove it down his pants to grab onto his cock, hand firmly wrapping around it
Liu Kang lets out a loud groan against your skin, sinking his teeth into the flesh, and it makes you let out a choked sound as you try and give him some modicum of pleasure
his tongue licks over the mark, almost like an apology, but you find it a lie as he moves to another part of your skin and bites down again as you continue to try and stroke him
wriggling in his hold, you manage to let out a whiny plea for you to suck his cock
it gives the god pause, and his lips momentarily stop against your skin before pulling back to stare into your eyes again
he lets out a breath, asking if you were sure, and you squirm in his ironclad grip on you and let out a pitiful yes, voice high-pitched and breathy
Liu Kang hums and slowly, almost mournfully, lessens his hold on you and helps guide you on shaky legs down to your knees and in between his spread thighs
he pulls down his pants, intending on taking them fully off, but you’re too impatient and shuffle forward and grab onto his cock, perhaps feeling a bit intimidated at the size
it didn’t surprise you that he was thick, thicker than anything you had ever seen or practiced on, but still, there was a reason you were an earthrealm defender, you never backed down from a challenge
your other hand grabs onto his thigh for balance as you leans your head forward, tongue dragging against the length of his cock from base to tip
the god draws in a sharp breath and forces his hands to stay at his sides, wanting to see how far you would go before he would push you to your limits
you concentrate on the task before you, trying not to get too distracted with how his broad form looms over you and how absolutely fucking soaked you are at the sight
ignoring your own need, greedy to taste him, you wrap your lips around the head of him, tongue pressing into the slit to taste his pre-cum, and Liu Kang’s hands start to burn through the cloth of the bed cot
if you smell the burning linen, you don’t pay any mind, using one hand to stroke him up and down in controlled strokes while your mouth suckles at the tip
so, maybe you were a lot intimidated actually at the size of him, not his length, no that was only a bit above average
his girth on the other hand
you clench around nothing at the thought of him stretching you out, the slight burn, the addicting pressure, the feeling of fullness
Liu Kang grits his teeth, hand twitching and burning through the bed cit as he tries to not to bury his fingers in your hair and force your head all the way down until your nose touches down to the base of curls
humming slightly, listening to the choked moan of the god, you push forward, bringing the tip of his cock past your lips and bobbing your head up and down with the pace of your hand
slowly but surely, you take him further and further down your mouth, until he’s in your throat, and your lips burn and you’re sure that tears are falling down your face
he’s losing his self-control, heart beating rapidly in his chest at the sight of you so debauched, tears running down your face, eyes slightly glazed over as you focus on sucking his cock, and Liu Kang can’t help it as his hand finally leaves the bed to bury itself in your hair
his hand pushes you down further and further, and you let him take control, mind slowly going blank at how he’s filling every one of your senses
your nose buries itself into his pelvis, and distantly, you can hear him telling you to breathe through your nose, to stay calm, that you were doing so well for him, so good for him
your own hands grip onto his thighs, squeezing and kneading to try and keep yourself here and present, but control is slipping as you breathe in the scent of him
Liu Kang breathes out through his nose, as his hand tightens its grip on your hair as he moves your head up and down, trying to stay in control, trying to stay calm
and then you let out a breathy whine as his hips stutter and hit the back of your throat roughly, and the thin thread snaps as his other hand grips onto your head
it’s sinful, the wet sounds coming from your mouth, the way Liu Kang fucks into your throat, how your eyes stare up at him, teary and hazy as you moan
the sound vibrates through him, and he thinks he’s going to cum just like this, down your throat, despite his eons and eons of experience
but he doesn’t want to paint your face or your throat with his cum, at least not just yet, and he forces himself to pull your mouth off of his cock, missing the feeling of you immediately
you look dazed, wrecked, all from him, lips swollen and covered in your spit, drool hanging down your chin
Liu Kang drags you up into his lap and kisses you, wrapping your legs around his waist and digging his fingers into the plump meat of your thighs as he stands up
he walks forward, his lips never leaving yours as your arms wrap around his neck to pull him in forward, and your back finally meets the wall of the infirmary
the god grinds his cock into your clothed pussy, two layers too much, and he bites back a growl at the obstruction
balancing you on one hand, arm barely straining with effort, he reaches his free hand down in between you and tears at your pants easily, making you gasp
instantly, both of his hands dig into your ass once again and his cock presses up against your swollen and needy clit
after so long without any friction, you gasp and whimper at the contact, trying to push your hips forward to get more
he denies you, relishing how you squirm in his arms and how your whines grow needier and needier with each passing second
when you let out a small plea, your name hanging from his lips like honey and a sweet please melting into the air, he shakes his head
it would be too much for you, he hadn’t had the time to properly stretch you, to prepare you, and he didn’t want to hurt you
Liu Kang promises you another time, and you whine in frustration, pulling away from his lips with a glare
your thighs tighten around his waist as you lift yourself up just enough so that the head of his cock notches against you, and before he can react, you sink down, choking back your own moan
he should lift you up, get you off of him before you hurt yourself, but he can’t find it in himself to take you off, your pussy sucking him in further and further until your hips finds themselves flush with his
you whine, head buried into the crook of his neck, and he breathes out harshly through his nose, straining every fiber of his being to not lift you up and begin fucking into you
it’s a brutal several minutes as you adjust to his size, taking in deep stuttering breaths as he murmurs into your ear to breathe, that you were doing so well for him
his thumbs rub circles into the sides of your skin as you calm down, and then you finally squirm impatiently on his dick, clenching your pussy around him and forcing a groan out of him
you moan, begging him to move, and Liu Kang tightens his grip on your legs and finally starts bouncing you on his cock, knocking any sense that you might have left in your brain
the lewd sounds of your pussy fill the air with your moans and whimpers, and Liu Kang wants to taste your pleasure, your desperation
he brings his lips to yours again, kissing you, swallowing every one of your sweet sounds as he thrusts up into you, trying to angle his hips to hit that one sweet spot
when you yelp into his mouth, stars bursting behind your eyelids and arms tightening around his neck, he smiles against your lips and fucks into the spot, making sure that the fat head of his cock bullies relentlessly into it
you swear you’re being lifted into the heavens, higher than the heavens actually, pleasure singing through every nerve in your body and your orgasm was hurtling towards you faster than you had ever known
Liu Kang finally pulls away, and you’re sure that you look dazed and already fucked out
in the haze of your pleasure, you almost miss him telling you to do something, and you have to let out a pathetic what, interrupted by a pitiful whine as he fucks back into your sweet spot
he tells you to rub your clit, his voice rumbling through you and straight down as you hear a loud squelch
but you comply immediately, craving your release, feeling dizzy by how he surrounds you, and your fingers rub against your clit slowly and lightly
his eyes are transfixed on the sight, the bud swollen and coated in your wetness, and he tells you to pinch it, to be rough
pleasure already overwhelms you, but you listen, body shaking and hand struggling as you overstimulate yourself, pinching and rolling your clit between your fingers
Liu Kang practically purrs, telling you to keep doing that, to keep listening to him and being so good for him, groaning as he feels your pussy pulse around him in tandem with how you play with your clit
you can’t even warn him as you cum on his cock, keening loudly and rubbing at your clit in tight rough circles as you ride your high
the god just shoves his mouth to yours, devouring you completely as you lose yourself, his hips never stopping, never changing as he fucks you through your pleasure
only when you feel the last of your orgasm dribble out does his hips falter, and he groans into your mouth as he cums inside of you, fucking it deeper and deeper inside of you with each slowing thrust
eventually, he stops, his cock still buried inside of you, and he just kisses you, enjoying how you taste him as well, how you grow more gentle with your lips as your body starts to sag from exhaustion
Liu Kang helps you to your feet, smiling internally when you look up at him and ask in a feeble voice if he could carry you
he obliges, because how he could he not, and picks you up, the bend of your knees supported by one arm while his other arm supported your upper back
your arms wrap around his neck once more, and you tuck your head in against his chest, eyes closing slightly as you mumble that you don’t think you can walk anymore
glancing down at the mess you and he had made on the floor, he’s not surprised and presses a kiss to the top of your forehead as he brings you back to your room
he had you in his arms now, and he wasn’t going to let go

Hello :) your writing is so good and I like how you write the Lin Kuei bros so much.
I was wondering if I could request a Bi-han x Werewolf!reader, I have been playing Skyrim alongside Mk1 and realized there isn’t any kind of werewolves type of stuff in mk when there is vampires like Nitara. So I was thinking maybe the reader was a fighter recruited by Liu Kang along with Johnny, Lao, Raiden, and Kenshi. Bi-Han doesn’t understand why Liu Kang recruited the reader as there for one their fighting style lacks cordnation and they fight like an animal. And even worse the reader doesn’t have a lot of displine and doesn’t any care for the titles he has. It’s not until they see them turn into their werewolf form in battle that he understands.
An American Werewolf in China
Prior notes: o(^▽^)o thank you! The werewolves in Skyrim look awesome! You work the same way as me where you combine two things you are dealing with at the same time.
Pairing: Bi-Han x Werewolf! Gn reader
Warnings ‼️: Awooo
“That insufferable, mischievous, uncoordinated, delinquent is going to fail Earthrealm. This was the best Liu Kang could do?” Bi-Han gritted his teeth.
He was staring at you as you practiced with some of the monks at the Wu Shi academy. Your moves angered him. You were as capable of a fighter as an aggravated wolf. You go around baring your teeth that he saw as unkept with how jagged they looked. So were your nails. It looks like you purposely make them that sharp by rubbing them against rough rocks.
“I trust that Liu Kang made the right decisions. You doubted Johnny Cage yet he still beat us.” Kuai Liang reminded him.
Bi-Han groaned at that reminder. At least Johnny was more coordinated and acted like a human. But you…geez.
Even the first time you guys encountered each other he was infuriated by you. Him, Kuai Liang, and Liu Kang walked into the establishment you worked at. The smell of drunkards wafted in the air since you worked in a pub. Liu Kang’s proposal sounded like the ramblings of someone who was drunk so you ignored him. It wasn’t until Bi-Han tried to grab you that you finally acted.
That beat down was the most humiliating thing he had endured. You leaped on his back and tried choking him out. Kuai Liang tried to rip you off but you were latched on tightly. You even bit down on his shoulder. Though it didn’t pierce through his skin it did leave a large bruise. All the people in the pub payed little mind as if this was the usual.
When Kuai Liang finally managed to tear you off his brother he threw you into the tables nearby. Bi-Han was a mess with his low bun unraveled and scratch marks on his biceps.
“You little—do you know who you are dealing with? I am the Lin Kuei’s grandmaster! You should have more respect!” He yelled
“I don’t give a single fuck! Don’t come in here and fucking touch me!” You snarled back.
“Enough!” Liu Kang yelled out as he bursted into flames.
There was a silence and everyone in the pub scattered out. Can’t be going up in flames in a pub that’s stupid.
After that little incident you saw Liu Kang was telling the truth. You agreed to serve Earthrealm when it came to the Mortal Kombat tournament. But your vicious attack left Bi-Han with a bad taste in his mouth.
You don’t listen. You only listen to certain people. Liu Kang, sure, he’s god you’re not gonna disobey god. Raiden, understandable he is respectable. Tomas? Why him? Bi-Han is the one with the title, show him respect!
If anyone tried to tell you what to do, even something simple like grab some water, you’d be hesitant to obey. Someone told you to move? You gave them a side eye while not moving an inch. You’re acting like a disobedient dog.
That counts for your fighting as well. Like a rogue pitbull latching onto a slab of meat. Sometimes Bi-Han noticed that when you were low to the ground you looked to be moving on all fours. Weird. You leap at your opponents as well.
“They are incompetent. I have not seen them improve at all. Everyone has improved while they grow more wild.” He criticized you.
“Perhaps that’s just what they prefer. Not everyone is capable of the same fighting style.” Kuai Liang was really trying to defend you but even he was unsure of your fighting style.
“This is no fighting style. This is random slashes and hoping they land.”
Bi-Han was about to say more but you seemed to be getting frustrated. You were getting angry even though your opponent was already losing to you. You started shaking and huffing before letting out a yell. A yell that soon turned into a howl. The sound of cracking bones rang out from your body as you started to change before everyone’s eyes.
Your canines grew larger while the front of your face started to protrude into a snout. Your hair grew longer till it became a coat of fur. Your clothes, no matter how many times you tried to keep them on, could not handle the change and ripped again. Perky wolf ears and a bushy tail popped out. Your arms and legs were longer which was the reason the sound of cracking bones was heard. Your eyes that were once human were animalistic with an amber glow to them. By the elder gods! You’re a werewolf.
It basically answers all of Bi-Han’s questions and critiques. You are an animal, half animal actually. As a boy he has heard tales about creatures like you, he thought them tall ones. But here you were standing before him with your ragged coat of fur and glowing amber eyes. This conclusion would be a second guess for him. He would think you were a feral child before guessing you were a werewolf.
You were one pissed off werewolf.
You were growling not at your opponent but Bi-Han. You were staring him down but before you could do anything Liu Kang came running up to you and asked what was wrong. You just whined and pointed your snout at Bi-Han like a pointer dog. You bared your teeth while your ears were pointed back. You’re not happy which means Liu Kang isn’t happy. He walked up to Bi-Han with urgency.
“Stop talking badly about them. They have heard everything. They know they fight like an animal. It still works well.” Liu Kang was not playing.
“If you would have disclosed with me about the fact that they are a werewolf I would have watched my mouth.”
So it’s Liu Kang’s fault that Bi-Han was caught talking behind your back. Alright, his logic is mysterious in nature.
Some of the monks were trying to calm you down. But with the insult from Bi-Han, Johnny and Kenshi fighting again, and Kung Lao saying he will handle you cause he is the best you are just overwhelmed. You started leaping at everyone. You weren’t trying to hurt them but you still are getting used to fighting in your werewolf form. Johnny went flying in one direction and Kenshi went diving to avoid your tackle. Kung Lao leapt onto your back and tried to grab the back of your neck but you started thrashing around like a rodeo bull which knocked him off.
Even Kuai Liang was trying to get a hold of you with his rope but he met a similar fate. Can’t fight a dog with some rope, that’s a challenge. Now he is playing tug-a-war with you and once you let go he flung back hard.
You turned your attention towards Bi-Han before crawling towards him. You towered over him, forcing him to look up at you. Alright, he gets it, he’s wrong. You can stop throwing people around. He doesn’t want a round two with you in this form.
“I take back what I said. It is understandable now.”
It’s not an apology but it’s close. He really doesn’t want to deal with your rage right now so in an effort to douse the fire in your belly he started rubbing behind your ear. It surprisingly worked since your ears went from being pointed back to pointing up to the sky. You stopped showing your teeth and licked up your drool. You stared at Bi-Han for a few more seconds before huffing in his face. It’s the equivalent of sneezing in his face if you were in human form. It’s just unpleasant but he deserved it.
“Alright, enough, go to the zen garden to cool off. We will discuss your fit later on in the day.” Liu Kang addressed you.
You crawled away to the zen gardens to meditate the rage away. All that was left were many men on the ground and Bi-Han wiping his face off.
You turned into quite an interesting case to Bi-Han. He’ll be careful with his mouth now. You proved your point and he doesn’t want to poke the werewolf anymore. Though once this tournament is done he might want to see you again. A werewolf in the Lin Kuei might be a strange yet effective addition. Like having a hunting dog except the dog is huge and human. Seeing that you can be calmed is a good sign. He’ll keep that in mind when he feels he might need you on his side.
After notes: My favorite werewolf movie is An American Werewolf in London (I think y’all could have guessed that). But it was also the way I found out that 🌽 movie theaters were a thing. That was the scariest thing to me. Adiós!

Buldak Nightmare - MK1 (2023) Roster x male!reader (scenario fic)
in which your spice tolerance is way above everyone else
a/n: i recently bought a pack of buldak... so iykyk
ship[s]: friendSHIP (get it?)
warning(s): sindel ain't dead hoes, slight character deviations, def. using my own headcanons for some characters
Earthrealm (human reader)
Raiden & Kung Lao
- you're eating with him and Kung Lao after a hard training session with new initiates at the Wu Shi
- to save money, you offer to cook ramyeon for them, an obsession of yours you want to put them on
- in front of them lay bowls of semi-orange ramyeon, with sprinkles of cabbage, green onion, and other stuff that came from the pack
- you tell them "enjoy!" and immediately stuff your face silly with the food
- as much as both loved food, especially Kung Lao, they were nervous. Kung Lao took a whiff and noted the pungent spicy aroma, to which Raiden agreed. However, they didn't want to waste your efforts, so they dove in head first. Kung Lao took a hearty bite while Raiden took the safer route
- regardless, both men are wide-eyed and choking, gasping for air, water, and their souls as the spice hits their tongues
- poor Kung Lao, snot coming out of his nose and the entirety of his face red. Raiden is straight up crying, but he offers a weak smile to make up for his position
- you stop eating and try to help them, but you're sitting idly as they say they can handle it. they take their sweet time, drinking water mid bites and breathing quickly- any strategy to try and make the spiciness go away
- after they're done eating, Raiden's back slouches against the chair, while his best friend is hunched over the table. their faces are red, and remnants of their "episodes" linger: dried tear stains, tissues all over the table and floor, and empty cups signify their victory
- they'll eat this again, for sure, just a little later... in the next century when the tournament happens again
Johnny Cage:
- he's definitely nervous
- he's white, so of course his bland tastebuds couldn't handle the heat
- he looks at you with his signature, flashy smile, but you can see the way his eyes dart left and right, away from the bowl
- he came from a poor town, so poor that even Maruchan noodles were a luxury to him. Stardom allowed him access to all sorts of services and foods, but this was put of his professional scope. His ego wouldn't let him lose to you though, so he tried to match your pace and shoved an equal amount of noodles in his mouth
- at first bite, he's down for the count
- your favorite token white boy is legit howling in pain over the spiciness of the buldak
- "I thought you said you had this before?" you asked.
- he's blowing his nose over how spicy the noodles are, "I went to Korea... once!" he annunciates with his pointer finger in the air
- still, his pride won't take the loss, so he does his best to finish it all through tears and pathetic male hiccups
- he accidentally got some on his hand, and he rubs his eyes which practically sends him into a seizure
- when he's back in the real world, he pushes his bowl to you as he watches you down the spicy nuke of food down with a joyful smile
- as much as he values your friendship, he will not be doing this again
Kenshi Takahashi:
- while he doesn't show it, he loves his friends. So much so he'd put himself in a position like this to make you happy, even if he hates spicy noodles
- he definitely would stick to how normal instant ramen is: simple, savory, and safe, and not the abomination that you placed in front of him. Though he no longer can view colors, the smell is what begins his growing fear. An artificial, spicy, and a unique smell entered his nose, and he remembers a brief memory
- he remembers going to South Korea once, for business of course, but he never got to try the food due to his mission at the time. Of course you had to put him on it, and he was slowly beginning to regret it
- "Are you sure this is safe?" he said, his brows upturned as his red bandana covers his marred eyes. You look at him with concern, "Safe? Korean food is as safe as it gets!"
- he doesn't want to make you sad though. He watches you carefully, his teal vision showing you slurping the food with a bright smile on your chiseled face. Quickly, he slurps up the food to get over it quickly
- no, dearest reader, he doesn't get it over with until a whole three hours later
- his diet was strict, ex-yakuza habits still going strong, but it's also due to him being a special agent for the OIA and an Earthrealm champion
- because he no longer has eyes, he simply sweats, shouts, and swears- a lot. he does it so much the police were called on you both for fear of "abuse" (it was abuse if his mouth)
- at the end of the night, you felt so bad that you did the dishes and cleaned up his kitchen, but he says he had a great evening.
- "Just... choose a different brand," he said with a lopsided smirk
Ashrah:
- she's eager to try new things, since being able to leave the Netherrealm, and this was no exception
- you knew she had history with heat, being from the Netherrealm and such, but you didn't know if that applied to food. When you mentioned to Ashrah about your favorite spicy ramyeon, she was curious and down to try it. So, with the monks permission, you were allowed to cook in the kitchen and prepare the lovely dinner you promised your friend
- in the dormitories of the Wu Shi Academy, you both slurped up the noodles with ease and joy
- "Seems you enjoy the burn," you remark, her cheeks full of ramyeon as she stops mid-chew
- she covers her mouth, "I am no stranger to the heat, my dearest friend," she said simply as she took more noodles in
- Ashrah takes momentary breaks, though, in order to actually digest the food. As she finished her food, she also took small sips of water, said it was to "help her digest quickly". You believed her, though
- as she said, her goal to purify herself makes her human, but she was still exploring what "being human" really meant
- when you're both done, she smiles happily and thanks you for going to such lengths to befriend her
- "We have to get Sareena to try!" you exclaim, though Ashrah looks a bit hesitant
- a conversation for another time perhaps
Syzoth:
- he legit cannot stomach any form of human food, but that doesn't mean he's off the hook from your cooking
- being the Empress's Emissary meant great benefits, and access to the palace was one of them
- he invited you under the friendly (and watchful) eyes of Mileena, Tanya, and Kitana, so he could eat with you
- "What... is that?" he questions, "The ominously deep red sauce..."
- you smile, offering it to him. He says yes mistakenly, and you smother it all over his fried bugs galore
- he takes a relatively small bite, but it's not enough to keep him from throwing up and howling in pain.
- the three women were on high alert, ready to apprehend you, but he musters out a "no" to stop them
- you're by his side as he vomits his famous green goo, plus the remnants of the bugs he ate
- after getting him to a healer and medic, you get an earful from Empress Mileena and her sister, and Syzoth tries his best to stop them
- even after all that, he still wants to eat with you (just, not your food)
Kuai Liang & Tomas (plus Harumi & Hanzo):
- he, Harumi, Hanzo, and Tomas all sit together in the compound's eating area, the bowl of ramyeon in their hands
- you tell them to dig in, and you immediately slurp the unfathomably spicy noodles up with ease
- Tomas and Hanzo follow suit, but their confidence is cut short when the burning pain of the artificial spice hits their vanilla tongues
- Tomas was from the Czech Republic, so spice like this was unheard of. His European genes were getting the better of him, and it's evident through how much smoke is being emitted off his body
- Kuai is hesitant, but Harumi's soft voice pulls him through, "Together on three?"
- he and his wife eat it at the same time, and they are met with the same fate
- due to his own magic, Kuai's body becomes exceedingly temperate as the effects of the spice get to him. He's sweating profusely, and the metal chopsticks in his hand begin to warm
- poor Harumi, though, she's completely sprawled out on the tatami floor, fanning her mouth and kicking her legs in the air
- they don't even bother finishing their plates, which prompts you to eat more and finish for the rest of them
- both brothers are embarrassed, ashamed that you wasted your time for "men who couldn't even honor their word" (Kuai Liang's words), but you don't mind
- you simply ask, "next time?" and they look at each other nervously, Tomas's brows crinkling with anxiety
- "Of course," Kuai Liang says, "Why ever not?"
- you were gonna hold them to it, and Kuai Liang's conscious slaps him for that
Bi Han (plus Cyrax & Sektor):
- Bi Han knows your games, but he was certainly not expecting this
- after a mission in South Korea, you offered your culinary expertise to make some ramen, well, "ramyeon" for him, Cyrax, and Sektor. You had gotten it from a convenience store in the country, wanting to take a souvenir from the beautiful nation
- being part of his inner circle, he let you work your magic and cook up the ramyeon for him and friends. The kitchen was in close proximity to the office you all were going to eat in, and immediately all three men were worried when the smell of the food came to assault their noses. Bi Han especially, his worried face including an obviously upturned eyebrow
- when you bring out the huge pot of ramyeon, all of the men were even more appalled by the look of the food. brightly colored orange, it was clear that the spice wasn't the only thing going to kill them
- they were emboldened when they saw you put some in your bowl and eat it happily, but they weren't aware of your inhumane spice tolerance. Cyrax and Sektor ate some rather confidently, while Bi Han slurped up a max of five noodles.
- the poor men were losing their minds: Cyrax downing the tea prepped by one of the handmaidens of the palace compound, Sektor's head down on the table as he tried to compose himself, and Bi Han trying to keep his cryo magic under control
- Bi Han knew it could become out of hand, so he ran from the table in record time, also leaving a trail of ice. You noted that the man's chopsticks were covered in jagged crystals of ice, and his seat was covered in a layer of frost
- you stop eating and try to help your comrades, but they insist they thug this one out. Unfortunately, Cyrax taps out and heads to the kitchen for water, while Sektor pushes his bowl back with a sad smile on his face. You immediately clean up the food, trying to keep the mood up by making jokes on how they performed well and survived
- Bi Han comes back finally, but his hair slightly glossy as some strands stick to his face and forehead. He brushes it off, saying he got some snow on him, but you knew better. Still, you do not press further as you continue cleaning up, however he also comes to your side to help.
- "No more of this," he huffs out his order, "Effective immediately."
- you sigh sadly, not wanting to anger your Grandmaster anymore
Liu Kang & Geras:
- The Fire God was no stranger to heat, he literally commanded it. Your food, though, was on his mind as you presented it to him and Geras
- You were talking with Liu Kang as you strolled the grounds of the Fire Temple. He mentioned something about wanting to eat noodles, so you offered your skills to him. He accepted, of course, wanting to see his dear friend's capabilities
- so much so he even brought Geras in from the Hourglass
- as much as Geras says he does not interact with mortals, he finds your friendship his own personal fixed point in time. He does not mind you talking to him, you also found his sand manipulation fascinating, and he appreciated it greatly by making many a sand sculptures
- you presented the bowls to your friends and told them to dig in. You sat down at the table with them and stuffed your face silly, happily humming as you ate the noodles with eagerness.
- Liu Kang always does his best to keep his facial expressions to a minimum, as humility was his greatest strength. As much as the spice was getting to him, he still kept his composure as he spoke about the interesting flavors
- "I did not realize that much time had passed," he said calmly, drinking his water, "The people of the past would certainly be left awestruck at the creativity of humanity."
- Unsurprising to you, Geras kept eating the food with a straight face. You expected this much from him, being a "fixed" point in time and all, but did it really not illicit any reaction... at all?
- Geras speaks, as if hearing your inner thoughts, "I must admit, there is something peculiar in this food."
- everyone finished without a scream, worry, nor sweat. although, Liu Kang was drinking just a bit more water than usual. when you mentioned wanting to eat again with them, they both smile softly.
- "What are friends for?" Liu Kang said
Outworld (Outworlder reader)
Sindel & Li Mei
- as a dear friend to the crown, Sindel cherished you greatly. So much so that she saw you as the son she never had. Li Mei did as well. She did, after all, train Sindel's daughters, so you were but a child in her vision
- according to Sindel, you also could make a good sovereign if you married one of her daughters (you vehemently declined multiple times)
- tonight, Sindel invited you and Li Mei to the palace to catch up. Sindel also wanted to put your kitchen skills to the test, since she had remembered you mentioning you're a decent chef. She also invited Li Mei, just wanting to catch up with her as well
- the older Outworld women were sitting in the more intimate dining area of the palace, a simple round table with four seats surrounding it. As you finished up the food, the smell of the intoxicating artificial ramen invaded their noses
- "A rather interesting aroma," Sindel noted, "What exactly is it?"
- you shrugged, "A gift from the Earthrealm actor," sitting down across from your friends, "He said that it was a commoner's meal, and I was curious. Besides, he said it had a kick."
- you noted their silent reservations, the older women watching you eat it first. Your eyes are wide with joy, and you keep slurping the noodles Johnny gifted you.
- trusting your joy, they also ate the noodles with the preconceived notion they would also enjoy it. However, both women stood up in horror at the flavors of the food. Orange in appearance, they were under the assumption that it was just the color of the noodles. They were sorely mistaken, though, as the spices choked their airways closed from any air
- your mother-figure was holding her mouth with her hand, elegantly holding the food in as she waved for an Umgadi warrior to take her to the bathroom
- Li Mei was alone in her suffering, clutching to the end of the table as she coughed and hacked, haggardly breathing for oxygen
- you stopped eating as quick as lightning flashed, getting up to help your friends. Wrapping the food, you grabbed water from the kitchen to try and soothe Li Mei's pain, but it didn't do much
- by the time her episode had ended, Sindel came back looking as regal as she did before, as if she didn't feel the effects of the ramyeon (her lips were slightly red, though)
- she announces, "That actor is lucky he is under Lord Liu Kang's protection...."
Kitana & Mileena (ft. Khameleon)
- the sisters looked amongst themselves before they looked back at the hideously orange noodles. Khameleon is also present, face nonchalant as she does her best to do her job
- it's midnight in the luxurious hotel Johnny had set you three up in for the princesses Earthrealm visit. It was sanctioned by Empress Sindel that her daughters build rapport with Lord Liu Kang, plus experience the beautiful world. You were brought along too, since Kitana and Mileena asked for your presence.
- "how did you come across such a delicacy?" Mileena questioned, her sister also with a quizzical brow
- you were introduced to the spicy delicacy on your own trip to this part of the universe by Johnny himself, and ever since then you had stocked up on the food so you'd have enough back in the empire. now that you were back in Earthrealm, it was a good opportunity to stock some more in your pantry and introduce your friends to it
- you shrugged, "Johnny introduced me to it. I think you guys will like it!" you said enthusiastically, digging in your own bowl
- the twin princesses look at each other one more time before nodding, digging into the bowl just as you had done. Unfortunately, they underestimated the spice that was emitted from the noodles
- Kitana's eyes widened, mimicking her mother as she tried to hold the food in her mouth. Tears lined her eyes as she began fanning her face with her hands. Realizing it wasn't enough, she took her real fans out and fanned herself aggressively to relieve her pain
- Mileena, on the other hand, had completely let herself get consumed peppery noodle. Choking, gasping for air, her Tarkat disease got the best of her as her jaw unhinged and large fangs protruded from her mouth
- Tanya was unavailable for this visit, so Khameleon was in charge of administering the medicine for Mileena. Before she could do so, though, Mileena has a couple of words for you
- "Before I kill that pompous actor," she breathed, "You're head will be on a stake!" she lunged at you, but the medicine was administered just in time
- when you four get back to the Empire, Sindel scolds you for putting her daughter in a precarious situation
- but it didn't live up to the fact Mileena was down on her knees begging for your forgiveness
Tanya:
- in a very rare instance, Tanya had a day of rest from the Umgadi and her responsibilities
- also, in a rare instance, she asked you to cook for her the same food that got you in trouble with the empress and her daughters (yes, of course she heard about that incident)
- you placed the finished ramyeon bowls on the small square table in your room, the smell making her face twist in disgust
- "It's so... pungent," she said with conviction, "As if death came itself..."
- you look at her oddly, "I mean, Princess Mileena almost killed me... so I guess you aren't wrong."
- regardless, you smile and dig in, her joining after she offers a prayer to Delia and Argus. She chews slowly, her hand covering her mouth as she tries to decipher how she feels about the taste
- she's definitely feeling the heat, but she's more composed than the entire royal family. Holding the food in her mouth, she swallows her food and takes a good drink of water, offering a smile and her opinions
- "It certainly is... unique in taste, but it isn't entirely awful," she says with her rough voice, "Quite the opposite, in fact"
- you smile at her honesty, "Joy! Please keep eating, there's more in the pot."
- you two continue your meal, talking to each other about your recent life updates and plans for the upcoming days and weeks. You even ask an update on her and princess Mileena's relationship (she was under the impression she kept it well hidden)
- once you both finished, Tanya asked if she could keep the rest of it for herself and the sisters back in the Cenobium, to which you sent her off with a packed up box of it
- she would definitely eat with you again, mentioning that she'd try and get you inside the Cenobium herself
Shang Tsung:
- hiding out in Earth, you stole some food for you and Shang Tsung to eat. in a stroke of luck, you had found some cheap noodles by a convenience store, not taken in and unexpired
- both marked as traitors, war criminals, and villains, you two were on the run to avoid them at all costs, but at this point you two were starving
- as you cooked, you loved the zingy smell that the noodles emitted. Shang Tsung, on the other hand, harboring an obvious contempt
- "Why must we settle for such atrocious fodder?" the sorcerer said with distase
- "We cannot be choosy, Shang Tsung," you said, placing the bowl down on a makeshift table of cardboard boxes. You smooth your pants down and sit on the rickety plastic crates that acted as substitute chairs
- Shang Tsung looked at the food with abhorrence, but watching you chow down with joy (despite the circumstances you were both in) made him take a bite as well. Just a bit smaller, though
- no matter the size, the spice was taller than any threat he had ever faced. he kept the food in his mouth as he stood up, his fist colliding with the wall of the convenience store
- he. was. pissed.
- he tried to wash the flavor down with water, but it was no use. He bit his lip, so much so it began to bleed. You were up from the "chair" to help him, but he grabbed your thick neck with one hand and his other had his cuffed metal claws under your chin
- "Consider yourself lucky I find you useful," he whispered, his sultry voice in your ear. You gulped and nodded, taking his noodles and finishing them yourself
- he was in charge of food for an unseen amount of time as you two were on the run
Quan Chi:
- you and Quan Chi were stuck in a cave, similar to the mines he once worked in, except this time he was awaiting the food that he was promised
- on the run from the imperial army under Kitana's lead, the Umgadi, the Sun Do Police, and the champions of Earthrealm were after you two after they all found about your plots against the empire
- unable to go anywhere, you two holed up in a cave on the other side of a mountain in the desolate area of Outworld. Hungry, you decided to use some magic to heat up some food you had kept on you before you left
- the sharp, pungent smell attacked Quan Chi's nose, which made his face crinkle in pure loathing
- "This is not how I intended for things to go, my friend," his unique voice sounded annoyed as you placed a bowl in his hand
- "Seems to be an ire we both share," you say, equally displeased at the situation. Despite this, you ate the zesty noodles with ease. Quan Chi was hesitant, but ate as well
- "A most astute creation, my friend," he said rather proudly, "Pleasant, even."
- he was keeping up with your spice tolerance, casual dialogue about future plans, how to escape, and more as you both ate. Theonly taking a sip of water at the end of the meal
- by the time you both finished the food, you two were energized and ready for the next course of action
- "Delicious, my friend," he said, "Perhaps the Sisters will enjoy your skills as well."
General Shao & Reiko:
- You had just finished up making some spicy noodles for your general and his second in command. You were a talented chef within the ranks, and equally talented in kombat, but they were interested in the former trait of yours
- so, after training a new set of militants for the day, everyone was due for dinner, but you three separated and went to the general's tent for the meal. All three of you partook in light conversation ranging from potential rank upgrades, battle plans, and even family
- as you cooked, the smell began to invade their noses, with General Shao noting the smell first
- "Interesting smell," the general noted, "Reminds me of a time when I was younger."
- Reiko, though, kept his opinions more reserved, "It is rather... unique. How did you come across this?"
- You smiled, bringing their bowls to them, "The princess mentioned this to me in passing conversation. I had asked her to give me a pack to try it, and it is quite addicting."
- they look at the food in front of them, Reiko picking at the food as you and General Shao ate at the same time. You did not know your superior's lineage, but it is clear he enjoyed the heat it gave in his mouth. he's laughing whole heartedly, and his hand lands on your back with alarming force as he pats it
- Reiko takes one big hearty bite, but he's in a fit of coughs as he gasps for air and water. His face is angry, and his sweat began to wear his eye-makeup down. He groans in pain, setting down the bowl as he runs out the tent. General Shao laughs loudly, commenting on how his second could withstand taking a life versus hot food
- you two finished your bowls, and the General even split Reiko's bowl with you so you could eat more. A comfortable silence befell you two as you ate, and your heads turn to see Reiko back. His face is cleaned up, and he has glasses of water in his hands for everyone in the tent
- "Beverages," he announced gruffly, "For everyone."
- you both thank him and drank, washing down the last remnants of the flavor down your throats. General Shao praises your cooking, saying he will want more to share with the military, but Reiko stays quiet
- "Leave me out of your plans," he said politely, "I wish to partake in nothing regarding this... 'food'."
Rain:
- Rain is quiet as you place the food in front of him. he looks down to see steam rise from the orange-sauce covered noodles, slices of beef and greens on top to add some nutritional value
- he was grateful that you were in defense for his change of heart. In fact, it was enough to let him keep his assets in the empire, the only thing he couldn't do was practice magic again (the deal between the Empress and the Sorcerers Circle)
- "Eternal thanks for you," he says quietly, "It's been a while since I last had a meal with someone."
- you smile at your friend, pulling the chair out from your front to take a seat. His eyes are noticeably more tired than before, guilt and fatigue in his mind. you were the only one in Sindel's court to trust his change of heart, while the intrigue rather scorn you and him for being together- especially after he decimated an entire nation. Everyone, and you meant it, did not trust him nor his words. But, you were the only one to give him a chance
- you watch him pray, offering up to the gods before he dug in with a fork. It surprised you that he ate first, and you conclude it's the tiredness getting to him. When he finally swallows the food, though, he's wide awake
- he cries out, leaving the table and tripping on the way to the kitchen to grab water (if he activates his magic, he will be sought after by the imperial army)
- he cries out to the gods, splashing his face with water over and over and over again until his complaining ceases
- by the time he is calm, he turns to you with the most incredulous face, pointing to the bowl of black magic
- "You willingly consume such foods," he said exasperatedly, "To a degree in which you do not even feel pain?!"
- you nod, and he puts two fingers on the bridge of his nose to express his disappointment and obvious distaste
- he gives the bowl to you, stating he is full by watching you eat
- he'd rather be imprisoned than do that again
Orderrealm (Seido survivor)
Havik (ft. Darius):
- as a follower of Havik and his vision, you did his best to get close to him
- unfortunately, your inability in kombat didn't allow you to join him in the field. That didn't stop you though, and you've found great prestige in the culinary arts
- so much so that Havik and Darius wanted you to cook for them in their conquest of disorder. of course you did, immediately jumping on the opportunity to show your favorite food to him and his partner
- "Before Seido fell," you began as you placed the bowls in their hands, "This was my family's favorite dinner food."
- they looked at you sadly, Havik's contorted face trying to show concern
- "The government kept raising the prices of ingredients, so we settled for this," you take a big bite, smiling at the memories, "It's pretty good! The spice keeps you awake, and it's not all that overpowering."
- both men nod, and they take a bite after hearing your experience under the cruel government
- unfortunately, their pity for you dissipated as quickly as it came, the unbearable spice of the noodles getting to their tongues and throats
- Darius made the mistake of not chewing wholly, while Havik ate the noodles without anything to quench the pain
- Havik's face, being burned off at the jaw and mouth, didn't allow him to chew correctly, so the spice just sat there on his tongue as he writhed and yelled in pain
- "Never again!!" they yelled in unison
Vaternus (Vampire reader)
Nitara:
- you were the exception in all of Vaternus- not being able to stomach humans after becoming immortal. you still ate normal human food, especially your favorite noodles when you were still a human
- you and Nitara ate together, her devouring human flesh as you ate your spicy noodles. She eyes you curiously, a thigh in her hand as you slurped the orange noodle up
- "Odd creature you are," she said dead-panned, "Does that even sustain you?"
- you nod happily, your bowl in her face as you point to the noodles with your fork, "Mhm! You want to try?"
- she's hesitant, the smell getting to her nostrils as she turns from disgust
- "I'll pass..." she says, "The sauce, perhaps I can stomach it."
- You flash a dopey smile, taking the leftover sauce packet and coating the human body part in loads of it, before spreading it out evenly for her to enjoy the taste
- she takes a good, hard, long sniff of the sauce, before taking a fat bite out of the thigh again. She chews thoroughly, getting a feel for the taste before spitting it out in front of you
- she's got a glare on her face, her sharp features even sharper with her disgust
- "Never again, you heathen."
- she tosses the entire part away, letting it rot as she picks up a human arm, relishing in the taste as blood coats her mouth and around it
=====================
notice that nitara's is the shortest (megan fox killed her)
anyways, buldak is not for the weak. i cried so much eating half of my bowl, my dad ate the rest without breaking a sweat
also, i've got a trip this saturday to california! i'm meetin my boyfriend's family, so the requests might be slow, but i'll get to it asap!
that's all! i'll see y'all in the next fic!

can we get some fluff w johnny where we steal his shirt and he just finds it’s the cutest thing how we practically drown in it
love youuu 💙💙
hehe i wuv him sm
johnny cage > rain
notes: i may not be a skinny queen but swimming in one of his shirts would actually cure me of all ailments forever,.,.., WHY ISNT HE REAL!!!!!!!!! @spacepl4ant
[ masterlist ]
• you and johnny had grown attached since meeting at wu shi academy. sure, you knew about his existence because he's a celebrity, but you had gotten to know johnny as a person as well as his screen persona... not that there was much of a difference.
• regardless, tuesdays were "train til you drop" days, oftentimes fighting or practicing routines for literal hours until you couldn't feel your limbs. everyone dreaded it but knew deep down it was necessary. this particular tuesday just so happened to be raining like crazy.
• you and the boys sparred and swung attacks at each other until the sun set, everyone drenched in sweat and rainwater. you all sat underneath a dense tree. kung lao shook the water from his hair, raiden was wringing out his shirt, kenshi didn't seem to mind too much and johnny was... well, using the rainwater as some kind of strange gel as he slicked his hair back.
• "talk about training your ass off," he groans, stretching his arms. "i can't feel a single part of me." you jab his side, making him whine and swat at you.
• "you complain too much," you wring your hair out onto the grass. "that being said, i'm cold and hungry and tired and i wanna go back to the dorms so i can change."
• "i like your thinking," johnny waves off the group and the two of you skip down the gravel path to the students' sleeping quarters, where your separated but loosely divided rooms held what little items you were allowed to bring with you. it was a common practice to walk around campus together, sometimes even arm in arm as you playfully waltzed down the paths. the other boys gave you a lot of trouble for it, whining about the married couple you pretend to be. neither of you stood up to defend yourselves. if anything, johnny found it a nice idea.
• in truth, you drove him wild. he just split from his ex-wife, someone that wanted to place roots down and slow down in life. but you, you were spontaneous, fun loving, and an absolute firecracker. you set his heart going, and he couldn't help but harbor a little crush on you. he couldn't tell you that, not now anyway, with the tournament coming up he knew better than to put an extra weight on you.
• "earth to superstar—" you groan, waving your hand in his face and shaking him of his thoughts. he hadn't even noticed the two of you were already at your sleeping place, and how you're now half dressed in your undershirt and shorts. "just checked my stuff. i don't have anything clean or decent. guess i'll just be soggy for dinner."
• johnny can't seem to focus when you're in a damp tank top. "bummer."
• you frown. "this is when you offer one of yours."
• his eyes are distant. "my what?"
• "jesus, cage, what's gotten into you?" you playfully punch at his chest, which does little to affect his stance, and slide the door open to his own bed arrangement. bending over and shuffling through his obnoxiously nice luggage bags, you find one of his dress shirts. it's a fiery red with small flame patterns.
• "i didn't say you could go through my stuff," he warns you in a teasing tone, head hovering over your shoulder. "you might find something you won't like in there."
• "please," you puff as you flick the shirt of its wrinkles. "i've seen a few rose toys in my day." he chuckled, turning away for a moment.
• he gives you the decency to change by staring into the corner, shamefully dreaming of what you may look like without anything on. he shakes the thought violently as you let out a sigh of contention with the shirt.
• "i get that you're a big guy, but lord," you mutter, tugging and shifting the shirt on your body. "you're bigger than i thought."
• "that's what sh—" johnny turns around with a smirk that quickly drops to the floor. you were wiggling about trying to make the shirt look like your own, but johnny was just so pleased with how it sat on you as it was. his shoulders were broader, leaving the shirt to swim around your own and expose a good deal of your collarbone. his waist was small, giving you some grace by hugging your hips almost as if it was your own top. in that split moment, johnny ponders if the "you're so hot i got a nosebleed" trope was real, wiping the bottom of his nose.
• "suits you," he pulls himself together abruptly with his award-winning grin, patting your shoulder and careful to avoid making contact with your skin, as badly as he wanted to feel your warmth. "after all this, come by my place and i'll get your own wardrobe after my style, how's that?"
• you scoff with your hands on your hips, shifting your weight to one leg. johnny fights the physical stutter at your chest creeping out of the top. "mister playboy here giving out charities to us poor folk. you don't have to do that, really."
• his voice is deadly serious. "i want to."
• "you're an odd one," you point a finger, sitting onto his bed with crossed legs. you fall silent observing his thousand yard stare, how glassy his gaze seems to be when it falls on you. "why do you look at me like that?"
• "like what?" his mouth is dry, eyes fixated on yours.
• "like you wanna kiss me all the damn time," your answer is teasing, not entirely serious but you don't miss the twitch in his lip at your statement.
• "and if i do?" he's testing the waters, something about you in his clothes is making him more bold than he swore to be.
• his answer makes your heart flutter, not expecting a direct comment like that. it changed the air of the room, and you suddenly feel a little more suffocated and insecure under his analytical stare. "why don't you?"
• "because i'm worried i'll want more. you look great in my clothes, by the way."

Like Father, Like Son [A Bitten!Lloyd Fic]
"He was trapped inside himself, forced to bear witness to the loss of his own identity."
Lloyd Garmadon's life, and the fate of Ninjago itself, is altered forever when he is bitten by the Great Devourer.
2,416 Words ☆ Angst, Canon Divergent AU, Lloyd Garmadon needs a hug ☆ Rated T, no major warnings
This is the first of several oneshots I have planned for this AU, detailing important milestones in Lloyd's post-bite life!! Read it below, or on AO3!
𓆩✧𓆪
In a single agonizing instant, Lloyd understood his father.
As the Great Devourer’s fangs pierced through his sleeve and infused its villainous venom into his veins, as he was shaken like a ragdoll and left to bleed on the desert floor, as the first wave of inner turmoil overtook him, he understood it all. Somewhere in his half-awake stupor and blackening heart he found it, a glimmer of empathy at the end of the tunnel. So, this was the reason for his father’s fall from grace. For his poor choices. For his lengthy absence. It was something Lloyd had long been aware of, at least as much as a young child could be, yet nothing could have prepared him for the reality of his experience.
Pure, unfiltered hatred and vile thoughts clouded an already swirling mind. He felt his morals being corroded away as though he'd been injected with acid rather than venom, stripping him of all sense of self. It was a metamorphosis of the soul he was powerless to stop, and his body was the cocoon he couldn’t escape, forcing him to lay still in the sand no matter how hard he willed himself to move. He was trapped inside himself, forced to bear witness to the loss of his own identity.
No. No, he had to fight. He had to. Lloyd couldn’t let the venom win. He was the green ninja. He had the choice to be good. He couldn’t let everyone down. He couldn’t let his father down. He had to do better.
Somewhere in the distance he could hear the cries of his friends, the crack of wood as the Great Devourer went back for seconds. The bounty would surely not survive another attack by the giant snake. Lloyd hoped…he hoped…
It was like grasping for a fleeting memory. He wasn’t sure what he hoped for, if anything; it felt so far away. His body was burning hot and wracked with chills at the same time. His vision blurred and darkened at the edges. Was the wetness on his face sweat or tears?
Someone called out to him. He couldn’t tell who it was over rushing blood in his ears and the violent storm that raged inside him. When he tried to respond, all that came out was a mangled groan. A hand took him by the shoulder and gave him a shake, which he barely registered; in his loss of blood, consciousness, and identity, this body no longer felt like his own. And it put up no fight as his consciousness was finally claimed.

You’re a monster now.
“How is he doing?”
Despite a soft tone, the broken silence was enough to startle Wu from his trance. He whipped his head up to face Nya, who had entered the room as quietly as she’d spoken and now met his gaze with a worried expression. Wu wordlessly beckoned her closer and she complied, joining him by Lloyd’s bedside. The young boy was swathed under heavy blankets to sweat out a fever, though an elevated temperature was the least of his problems. He tossed and turned fitfully with eyes squeezed tightly shut, muttering gibberish.
“He is as stable as possible,” Wu said. “I wish we could offer more comfort but…I’m afraid we’ve done all we can do.”
Your friends will never trust you again. Your father will be so disappointed.
“No, no…” Lloyd whined under his breath.
“You can’t wake him up?” Nya said, worrying the hem of her top with anxious fingers. “It’s been a whole day now.”
Wu let out a resigned sigh. “Lloyd is fighting against the venom as my brother did many, many years ago… this is just the beginning of a lifelong battle. If we do not allow him to emerge victorious from today’s struggle, he may never have the strength to fight it at all.” The words were true, despite Wu’s desperate wishes for the contrary. Seeing Lloyd in such a condition brought a wave of traumatic memories to the surface, and threw salt in wounds that never had a chance to properly heal. Wu couldn’t help but blame himself for Lloyd’s condition, as he had for Garmadon’s. If only he had been there.
You cannot fight the darkness in your soul. You must surrender to it. This is who you were always meant to be.
Nya pulled up a stool next to Wu and settled into it, keeping her gaze trained on Lloyd. “There has to be something we can do.”
“I wish it as much as you do. But I— we were too late.” Wu cleared his throat to banish a slight tremble. “The venom cannot be removed now. He must learn to coexist with it.”
The world will pay for letting you down, and you will be the means for their demise. Pave the path for your future with their early graves.
Lloyd yelped and began to toss more violently, tangling the blankets with his thrashing limbs. Wu rose to his feet and stepped forward to gently tug the coverings free of his flailing body, then fetched a washcloth from a dish of cold water at his bedside. He wrung out the excess and placed the cool material across Lloyd’s forehead. The relief was immediately apparent. The boy ceased his thrashing and settled into a state of relative calm, and Wu let out a sigh of his own moderate relief, settling back in his seat.
“What does it mean for the prophecy? Is he still the Green Ninja?” Nya asked with marked hesitancy.
That same question had weighed heavily on Wu’s mind in the past hours, and unfortunately, no amount of meditating brought him closer to an answer. “That will be revealed in time. I’m afraid the fate of Ninjago is uncertain, even to me… that said, one thing is clear: we must focus our efforts on Lloyd’s training tenfold. He will need extra guidance to not only hone his elemental powers, but to hone the darkness inside. We must help him find the light.”
Fighting back merely delays the inevitable. Give in. Give up. Accept your fate.
“No!” Lloyd yelled. He lurched upright with swinging arms, an outburst that elicited a jolt from the pair sitting beside him. He maintained the offensive stance for a moment, panting and surveying his surroundings with wide, fearful eyes.
"Easy, Lloyd," Wu said gently. "You're safe now."
"Yeah, it's alright Lloyd– it's just us," Nya chimed in with a small, somewhat unconvincing smile.
Lloyd looked over at them, expression softening and fists lowering as recognition kicked in. “What…what happened? Where am I?”
Wu rose from his seat and approached Lloyd with a tentative gait. He studied him closely, as though a thorough enough examination would reveal the depths of the venom's effect. “You are in Ninjago City. Tell me, how do you feel? What do you remember?”
“I feel… awful.” He peeled the towel off of his forehead and Nya reached forward to take it from him, dipping it back in the water dish. “I had a horrible nightmare where I was bit by…the…” His eyes widened in a state of sickening realization, which he aimed at his bitten arm; bandaged tightly below the elbow and surely still sore. Faded patches of blood and venom stained the inner layers of cloth. “…I was bit by the Great Devourer.”
So, he was aware. At least that was one less bandaid for Wu to rip off, for lack of a less ironic metaphor. “Yes, I’m afraid your nightmare is reality,” he said. “I’m sorry, Lloyd. The Great Devourer’s venom now courses through your veins as well.”
Nya offered Lloyd the compress, which he stared at blankly before rejecting with a slight shake of his head. She set it aside. “I’m sorry too. We all are. I can’t even imagine how hard it is for you right now. Don't worry though, okay? We’re gonna get through this together. All of us.”
Lloyd averted his gaze to some far off corner of the second-rate apartment building they were holed up in, though his vacant stare was clearly not one of judgment for their living situation. There was anguish behind those eyes, anguish that Wu was most familiar with. That he dreaded the sight of. “Where’s my father?”
Wu and Nya shared a knowing glance, and Nya took it as her queue to exit. “I, uh…think I’ll leave you guys to it,” she said, sparing Lloyd another sympathetic smile and slipping out of the room.
With Nya gone, Lloyd’s full attention snapped to Wu. “Where is my father?” he repeated with increased insistence.
Wu stroked his beard as he gathered the words to explain. His conflicting feelings about his brother's conflicting actions made it a particularly difficult task, especially with Lloyd’s intense scrutiny. Not that delaying the news made it any more bearable. “...When your father heard of the bite, and your compromised condition, he took the golden weapons and used them to defeat the Great Devourer in your name. His act of bravery saved us all. However... once the dust had settled, he was nowhere to be found. Along with the golden weapons.”
Lloyd’s face fell. In the silent room, one could hear his heart shatter from within. "He...left?”
Wu didn’t respond. The answer was already evident and hung heavily in the air between them. Garmadon’s decision was not one Wu agreed with, but he wagered that speaking ill of him would not offer any solace; instead, he reached up under his hat and procured a scrap of paper curled into a roll. “I found this at the scene of the Great Devourer's demise. I think you need to read it.”
Lloyd accepted the paper gingerly and unfurled it with equal caution. His eyes flitted across the messily scrawled ink.
To my brother,
Take care of Lloyd for me. He will need someone to guide him through this, and, despite our quarrels, I can think of no one better suited than you. My own venom has run too deep, and I fear my presence would influence him in the wrong direction. I cannot allow that to happen. Please continue his teachings in my absence.
To my son,
I love you. I hope you will understand my decision one day, and possibly even forgive me, though it is certainly not owed. I am so sorry, Lloyd. I never wanted this for you. I know how terrifying and isolating it all is. No matter what happens, never lose sight of who you are at your core: a strong, adventurous young man with a heart of gold. Do not let the venom take that away from you.
You must maintain balance within yourself, rely on your companion's wisdom when yours fails, and keep moving forward even when the road gets difficult. One way or another, I will be there by the end of it. And I will be so proud of you.
It's not your fault, Lloyd.
Your father always,
Garmadon
Wu had reread the message enough times to nearly memorize it himself, so when Lloyd’s eyes began to well up with tears, it came as no surprise. He was taken aback, however, by the sudden shout of frustration as Lloyd balled the paper in his fist and threw it across the room. “I hate him, I hate him, I hate him!!” he cried, green eyes blazing red like a forest overtaken by flame. “How could he do this to me? How could he leave me again when he knows how much I need him? Doesn't he know how much I need him?!”
Wu stumbled backwards and instinctively reached for his staff, realizing the mistake too late as Lloyd’s furious expression landed on him and twisted in betrayal. The fire behind his eyes extinguished, leaving a wounded child in its embers. “...You think I’m a monster like him.” His once furious tone was now trembling and dejected.
The staff fell to the floor with a hollow clatter. “Lloyd, no, it’s not like that. I was simply startled. Neither of you are monsters, this venom, it— it isn’t you. I would never– er, I know you would never...” Wu heaved a sigh. His tangled tongue was doing him no service. "I'm sorry, nephew."
Lloyd held his gaze for a beat before dropping his attention to his wounded arm, curling and uncurling his fingers wordlessly. He didn’t appear convinced, and Wu didn't blame him. Further placations surely couldn't ease such a troubled mind, so the pair remained in uneasy silence, accompanied only by a ticking clock on the wall and blooming dread inside Wu’s chest. He willed himself to fight it, just as Lloyd was fighting his own darkness. Strength was a skill he must model.
Wu turned to survey the room, eyes landing on the crumpled page. He plucked it from the floor and began carefully smoothing it out to the best of his ability. The words were still legible, if a bit creased and stained with teardrops. For this, Wu was grateful. They were important words, ones Wu hoped would one day soothe Lloyd's heart rather than break it. He rolled it back into a makeshift scroll and set it on Lloyd’s nightstand.
“I’ll still have to fight him…won’t I?”
It was nearly whispered, as though the reality behind the statement was too heavy to bear fully. Wu considered Lloyd thoughtfully, taking note of his puffy, tear-stained face with a frown. “Hm…perhaps,” he admitted. “Although, that is a battle for another day, and one we have ample time to prepare you for. Tonight, allow yourself to rest, Lloyd. Your body and mind are still healing and need time to recover."
Lloyd sniffed and wiped his face into his sleeve. "Okay," he said, and Wu had never heard him sound so defeated. He eased back into bed and closed his eyes, letting out a shaky sigh.
Wu lingered in the doorway for just a moment longer before turning off the light and slipping out to update the others on Lloyd’s condition. He wished he bore more hopeful news. Whether he wanted to admit it or not, to himself or the ninja, their situation had become far more dire. At this time, he could only pray external guidance would be enough to tip the scales of balance back to a steady equilibrium, lest all of Ninjago pay for Wu’s neglect.
Lest the vicious cycle continue.

Raiden had the biggest crush on you. It was obvious to you and everyone but in his defense, he was trying to get over you.
In Outworld, Empress Mileena was having an event at the palace so you and your Earthrealm friends were invited.
Raiden had actually brought a date. Her name was Stacy and she was the newest recruit to the Wu Shi Academy.
You couldn’t stand their relationship. Something inside of you hated the thought of Raiden being with another woman.
But why did you care? You didn’t even like him. (Or so you thought.)
Raiden excused himself from the group. He gave Stacy a kiss on the cheek and walked away to speak to Liu Kang.
It was just you and Stacy with your fellow Earthrealm friends behind you a little ways. “So, you and Raiden huh?” You asked, trying to be nice.
Stacy smiled at you. “Yeah isn’t he something?”
The tone she had was condescending. You didn’t like it. “Sure.”
“It’s just sometimes, I kinda hate it when he talks. He’s like so overly nice.”
You laughed understanding where she was coming from. “Yeah, I hear you on that one.”
Stacy shrugged a little. “I mean but I figure it’s all worth it if he buys me whatever I want.”
That statement kind of bothered you. Even though Raiden was annoyingly nice, you didn’t think he deserved for someone to use him. “You gotta think about that. I mean, Raiden doesn’t really get into relationships-“
“That’s not surprising.” Stacy told you. When you looked at her confused, she laid it out clear as day for you. “I mean, he’s an idiot.”
Something about that bothered you. You had no idea why it bothered you so much. The way she insulted Raiden made your skin boil.
You felt your fist clench into a ball. That’s when you knew you couldn’t stop your anger. “Ah no…”
Stacy looked at you confused. You had took one step back and then a step forward. You swung your fist in the air and connected it with her face.
She fell to the ground. Knocked out cold. Your Earthrealm friends that were around you looked at you and gasped. “Holy shit…” Johnny said.
Raiden came back to the scene and you mentally cursed at yourself. “(Y/N), what happened?!”
You were still in shock that you had actually done that. “Just somebody…and the girl said ‘idiot’ then it was nothing.”
Raiden looked at Stacy and then back at you trying to piece it together. He then let out a short gasp as he had mentally put the puzzle pieces together. “She called me an idiot and you hit her didn’t you?”
You looked at him full of regret at what you had just did. You did not want to make it known that you had punched a girl for Raiden. “No…” Raiden was smiling like a school kid in love. You rolled your eyes and pushed past him. “Move.”
You did not have feelings for him. You couldn’t.
You made it to the buffet. Mileena was standing right next to you. “(Y/N), I saw what happened. Is your lover okay?”
When she had said that, you turned to her annoyed. “My lover?”
“Yeah that infuriatingly humble one you’re always hanging around with.” She tried to think of the name and it suddenly came to her. “Oh. Raiden.”
This could not be happening. “He’s not my ‘lover’, Empress.”
“Are you sure?”
The fact that Mileena of all people was saying this annoyed you to no end. “Yes I’m sure. I don’t like him. He’s humble, and nice, and caring, and too sunshine’s and rainbows. He’s everything that I hate.”
Mileena looked at you as if she didn’t understand. “But (Y/N), I thought you hated everything.”
“What’s that suppose to mean?”
“Well maybe it means you like him because I kinda think you do.”
You were putting your foot down with this. There was no way in a million years that you could ever like Raiden. The two of you weren’t compatible at all. “No. How could I like him? Because I don’t like him. Because I can’t like him. Empress Mileena, if I like him-stab me.”
Mileena took out her sai that was in her waistband and motioned to you. “Which arm do you wish for me to stab?”
You gave her a very irritated look. No. You were gonna prove you did not have feelings for Raiden. One way or another.
You marched away from the buffet and walked over to Raiden and the rest of your Earthrealm friends. Stacy was nowhere to be in sight. “Raiden come on. We’re going on a freaking date.”
Raiden choked on the drink. All your Earthrealm friends turned to you in shock. Kung Lao patted Raiden’s back to help the drink go down more smoothly. “I’m sorry. What did you say?” Raiden asked as he could not believe you had said it.
“Come on before I change my mind.” You did not need to tell Raiden twice. Raiden was immediately out his seat and rushing out the palace with you.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/843db1eccfeaca64c0c405c07f818959/f9b0c59132a3d19a-83/s540x810/3862c60d2e7bbfe665d69d8c2a8b1e25250d8e1c.jpg)
You and Raiden were actually back in Earthrealm. Raiden had made suggestions where the two of you could go out on the way and he tried to pick the most romantic places he possibly could.
Obviously you were not into that at all and instead you settled with watching a movie at your place. Raiden did not refuse.
You didn’t even know if this was going to work. The two of you were complete opposites. How would this ever work?
The two of you watched the horror movie and ate the popcorn in the bowl. You guys had barely spoke.
“This is the best date I’ve ever been on.” Raiden said.
When he had said that, you gave him a look. “Raiden, we haven’t talked for thirty minutes.”
Raiden shrugged, not bothered. “That’s okay. I don’t mind. I understand you.”
You raised a brow at him. “Oh? You understand me?”
He nodded. “You’re probably thinking…I can’t believe I’m giving this idiot a chance. The guy that really, really likes me. And you’re probably wondering…how could this ever work? We’re completely different. Maybe he’ll break my heart.”
Everything he had said was true. Up until the last part. You sighed some and leaned back a little. “Maybe I’ll break your heart.” Raiden turned to look at you when you said that. “Raiden, I’m tough. I’m not really the ideal girlfriend you bring home to mom and dad and…I’m selfish, I’m cold, and sometimes I just completely shut down. You won’t be able to handle it.”
Raiden stayed silent. He grabbed your hand and rubbed it gently. “I think you’re being too hard on yourself.” You looked at his hand on yours. Raiden saw your eyes and thought you were uncomfortable. So he took his hand away. “I’m sorry.”
Secretly, you liked the way Raiden was so sweet. Especially towards you. It was a relief to your cold nature.
You scooted closer to Raiden. You grabbed his arm and made him wrap the arm around you shoulders. Raiden smiled at you. “Don’t get too happy.”
Raiden chuckled and turned back to the movie. “Never.”
The two of you continued to watch the movie. Raiden had jumped at a jump scare, spilling the popcorn. You had laughed at him. “You’re such a wuss.”
Raiden cleared his throat, adjusting himself. “I am not.”
“Yes you are. Earthrealm’s champion can’t handle a scary movie?”
“It was surprising not scary.”
“Whatever you say.”
Raiden’s smile did not break. “You know, the more you talk the more annoyed I get.”
You gasped at him, hitting him in his chest. “I am not annoying. You’re annoying.”
“I don’t think so.”
The two of you stared into each others eyes. It was like time had stopped. Raiden cupped the left side of your face as he stared into your eyes like he was seeing your soul.
He had looked more beautiful to you than any other time you had seen him and you couldn’t explain why.
The two of you leaned in and kissed.
Raiden tasted like sweet chapstick and buttery popcorn. It was addicting. You had brought your own hand to reach for the back of his neck and pulled him deeper.
The sweet kiss you two shared quickly turned sloppy. You took the lead and were licking over his bottom lip and biting on it.
Raiden moaned at you biting on his lip. You started to suck his bottom lip and when you released, it made a ‘popping’ noise.
The two of you pulled away and just looked at each other.
That was the best kiss you ever had.
You immediately removed the popcorn from his lap and placed it on the table. You then got on top of his lap and started to make out with him then.
Raiden’s hands snaked up along side your back. You kissed him full of anticipation and hunger. The hat he wore knocked off of him.
Your hips started to grind into Raiden’s private and he groaned at the sensation. “Wait a second.” Raiden pulled away from your lips and looked at you. “Are we really doing this?”
“Do you not want to?”
“No, no, no. I do.” When he said that, you started to kiss his neck. “I just want to make sure-oh-that you want to.”
“Yes. One hundred percent.” You pulled away from his neck and went to take your shirt off. When you did it left you in your red bra.
Raiden stared at you like you were the only woman in the world. He felt his mouth become watery. His hands rested on your hips as you grinder them into him. He threw his head back in pleasure.
You moaned a little as your clit felt some friction through your shorts.
Raiden picked you up and laid you on the couch so he was on top of you. He gripped onto your shorts and looked at you for confirmation. “Is this okay?” You nodded to him and he took them off of you. Then he took your underwear off.
He licked his fingers making sure they were really wet before placing the fingers against your clit. He was surprised to see you were already wet for him.
“If you say some cheesy line of how I’m already wet for you, I’m gonna stab you.”
He chuckled at what you said and just started to rub your clit in circles. You moaned at him. Raiden moved slow but effective.
Raiden leaned down and kissed you on the lips. You moaned in his mouth. He felt himself grow in his pants but he wasn’t concerned with himself at the moment. He was concerned with you.
His lips went to your neck and you moaned at how sweet he was kissing you. Like you were made of glass.
You didn’t want to wait for Raiden anymore. You wanted him now. “I’m ready. Come on.”
Raiden stopped rubbing your clit and stuck his fingers in your pussy to check for a reaction if you were tight. When he didn’t receive one, he pumped his fingers just a little before taking them out of you. Then he licked all over his fingers.
He found your taste to be delicious. He wasn’t expecting for you to taste that good.
Instead of Raiden undressing himself, he went in between your legs and started to eat you out.
You gasped at the sudden feeling of Raiden’s tongue on your throbbing pussy. He did slow like licks before mercilessly sucking your clit like he was in love with you.
Your hand’s immediately pulled at his hair. He was sucking your swollen clit so much that you were trying to pull away from him.
Raiden held your thighs to keep you in place. He was moaning at the taste of you and Raiden moaning in between your legs made you moan.
“Raiden. Oh god.”
He kept eating you as if it was his last meal. He couldn’t get enough. Raiden needed more.
The champion pulled out from your heat and looked up at you. “Sit on my face.”
You were a little stunned by his request. You definitely weren’t expecting that. Especially with his shy nature. “What?”
“I want you to sit on my face.” Raiden repeated like he said the most normal thing in the world.
You blinked a little but followed his request. You stood up from the couch and Raiden laid down on his back. Then you hovered your pussy over his face.
You were a little scared that you were gonna crush him but Raiden forced you to sit fully on him. His hands rested on your ass and thighs and he began to eat you out again.
This was a position you were not familiar with but you loved it none the less. Raiden had more access to slurp all your juices.
Your nails gripped onto the couch. Raiden was eating you like he was going to die the next day. Again, Raiden was moaning at the taste of your pussy.
He moved down some. Then he grabbed your hips and positioned your body where your clit could be in contact with his nose and he made you ride his face.
You gasped slightly at this. You tried to help him as much as you could but the sensitivity you had with your clit that was constantly pushing up against Raiden’s nose was too much.
Raiden noticed this and did mainly all of the work. He guided your hips to rock back and forth constantly. “Oh my god. Raiden. Please.”
He moaned at your begging. That gave him enough motivation. He was going to make you cum all over his mouth.
Riding his face was sending you over the top. You felt the feeling come into your stomach. “Oh my god. Please Raiden. I’m almost there.”
He didn’t break his pace and kept going. Hoping you would cum all in his mouth. When your clit hit his nose the last time, it was over. “Oh yes. Yes. Yes.”
Raiden kept grinding your hips onto his face until you were done with your orgasm. Though he didn’t stop. He kept licking every part of you even when you were done.
You shuddered at the sensitivity. “No more.” You got up from his face and stood up.
Raiden was slightly disappointed as he still wanted to eat you out. He sat up on the couch. You bent down in front of him and started to take his pants off. “What are you doing?”
“Playing the harmonica.” You stated sarcastically. When you pulled off his pants, you were about to take his underwear off but he stopped you.
“I’m okay.”
You gave him a look. He didn’t want you to give him head? You took his underwear off anyway. Then you sat on his lap. “Well I want to ride you. Is that okay with you?”
Before he could even get a word in, you slid your pussy on his dick. Raiden moaned at the sensation of your pussy clutching onto him like a glove.
You gave him a few kisses on the lips and then started to move on him. Raiden gripped onto your hips and helped you move on top of him. “Oh my. (Y/N).”
You went a bit faster on him. Raiden was in a panting mess. So much so that he couldn’t even concentrate on you moving on him anymore. “That’s right baby. Say my name.”
Raiden didn’t know he was going to be this much of a moaning mess under you. He thought he could be at least slightly dominant but he couldn’t. He was completely and utterly submissive to you.
The more your pussy clenched on him, the closer Raiden felt to his release. “(Y/N). Just like that. Don’t stop.”
“Aw, you wanna cum baby?”
“Please. Please, (Y/N).”
“Tell me how much you need me and I’ll think about it.”
Raiden should’ve known you would do this to him. His grip on your hips softened up as he was a complete mess under you. “I need you so bad. Please, (Y/N). I need to.”
You kissed all over his neck and sucked on all his sweet spots. He moaned loudly at all your touches. “So needy.” You said in his neck.
Raiden felt a little embarrassed because you had just started and he was already almost there. “Oh gods. I can’t.”
“Yes you can baby. Go ahead and cum in me. Make me a mama.”
That sent Raiden over the edge. He moaned loudly as he came hard. You rode him completely until he was done cumming.
You got up from him. You grabbed your panties and started to put them on.
Raiden sat there for a moment and looked at you curiously. “So does that mean…?”
“Yes, we’re together.” You placed your shirt over your head. “I don’t do flowers, hand holding, and don’t get me anything romantic.”
Raiden was excited that you were actually giving him a chance. He started to pull his underwear and pants up. “Got it.”
“Good.” When you finished putting your clothes on, you looked at him. “Also, I’m getting a Plan B. I was just chatting about being a mama.”
Raiden chuckled a little. “I figured.”
This relationship would be interesting…

What's really fascinating to me is that both Wu and Garmadon blame themselves for the bite. In Wu's retelling of the event in s1, he quite literally says "It was all my fault", and frames the situation as Wu's inaction being what compelled Garmadon to jump over the wall. But in the Garmadon comic, we see that Garmadon remembers it differently - that Wu had warned him not to go over the wall but he carelessly did so anyway.
"Is that what really happened, or simply how you remember it? Did Wu try to warn you, or do you just wish he had done so?"
Garmadon's memory of the event is canonically unreliable, tainted by his own guilt, so it's not unreasonable to assume that Wu's memory might be tainted by his guilt as well.
All we know for certain is that Wu's sword flew over the wall, Garmadon went to retrieve it, and was bitten. The specifics of whose "fault" it was are now lost to time, because both characters' memories have been shaped by the guilt they feel over what happened. And...I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, but it just kinda makes me sad, I guess.

The Only One I Want
Part 1
Karina x Fem! Reader
Karina knew she was pretty. She knew she had a chance with everyone, however, she was forever against any romantic relationships ever since she became an idol. Why would she want anyone when all they ever do is love her for her fame and looks? She knew she could never find anyone perfect for her, so she gave up on romance... until she met you
Word Count- 2.8k
Warnings- Mention of men
Week after week Karina was cursed with yet another blind date set up by her company. She would urgently burst into her managers room, promptly falling down onto her knees, hands speedily racing against each other as if she was bound to make a fire, begging to go at least a month without any blind dates.
To her dismay, however, not surprise, her manager would always shake her head firmly. “We need you to do this for us Karina. Do you have any idea how much attention would follow us if Yu Jimin was to find the perfect man?” She would say, and all Karina could do was sigh, walking out of the room with her head hung to her feet.
It was another day in which her company had set up a date once again, this time, they informed her it would be at one of Seoul’s most popular art museums, where she would be meeting the man in about an hour from now.
Karina couldn’t help but dread the upcoming event, knowing that her members got to stay back at the company and practice whatever they wished with their dance instructor, as there was no schedule for them this day.
Karina wished she could be apart of that. She wished she could be in the dance practice room, and she reminisced with the feeling of laughter and sweat filling the air of the unreasonably hot place. It was all she wanted... to spend time with her members doing stupid “idol shit" on her days off.
Yes, she was an idol, not a dating show contestant. Why couldn’t her company see this?
And on top of everything, she had never been fond of dating, as every possible boy she’s met was only ever after her looks, or how much money was in her pockets. “Why don’t I take you home tonight”, she heard almost constantly after every date. It was upsetting to say the least, and as a result, Karina turned down any possible instance in which a boy could waltz their way into her heart. It wasn’t what she wanted. She wanted her members. She wanted to be on stage. She wanted to be in the studio.
Instead, Karina found herself in the back of her managers car, mask almost suffocating her face as her hat floated just above her line of vision. Although she went on many dates, she was always forced to cover her identity, as her manager elucidated how bad it would be if the public was to see their sweetheart being accompanied by a new man every week. They wanted her to find the right one, then she could freely express herself to the public (though she knew it would never happen).
“We’ve almost arrived, make sure you put your glasses on before you step out.” Her manger expressed from the passenger seat, where she responded with a small nod. If her mask was clipped on any tighter, she swore her manger would be able to see her frown seeping through.
Only a minute later, the car pulled to a stop, just beside an almost identical car in the parking lot. Karina stepped out, her glasses now shielding her eyes as the door to the adjacent car rolled open just in front of her.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Jimin”, a voice could be heard in front of her.
Karina raised her head, gaze connecting with the man in front of her.
Lee Jae Wook, I never thought I would meet him, Karina thought to herself.
Despite the immense amount of meetings her company would assemble, they never would tell Karina which man she would be seeing, and she hated it.
She remembers the time when she had shown up at an excessively fancy restaurant, only to be met with Mark Tuan seated comfortably in the chair ahead of her. Or when Kris Wu sat adequately on the most ugly patterned blanket, with a messy endeavor of a picnic by its side, bottles of alcohol spilling onto the grass, Kris’s attempt at getting Karina drunk and taking her home... god what a terrible date that was.
“Call me Karina”, she said, ignoring the evident hand reaching out, awaiting to be shaken. Karina didn’t like when anyone other then her members, or family, was to call her by her birth name. She believed that only those who knew her personally were given the ability to call her by something so precious, not some random actor practically drooling as he soaked in her presence.
“Yes of course, my apologies”, Jae Wook nodded and extended his arm for the girl to take, and if it wasn’t for Karina’s manager lightly pushing her into the man, she would have smacked his arm down instantly.
With that, the two began into the museum, her arm loosely wrapped around his, and Jae Wook’s excessive amount of cologne being the only thing Karina could smell.
God this is terrible. I need to get home.
“Welcome! It’s a pleasure to have you two joining us today!” An abnormally tall woman greeted them at the entrance. “Call me Ha-Eun! I’ll be your tour guide for today’s visit”, Karina shook her hand with a fake smile plastered onto her face.
“Thank you”, Karina expressed, and followed the woman as she took them through security and into the main hall of the museum. The place was exceptionally beautiful, and Karina was sure that if she were to be accompanied by her members instead of this man, her experience would be one to remember.
But she wasn’t. She was stuck clinging onto the man as they followed the tour guide into the first exhibit, knowingly peering at him as his eyes were trained on the woman’s ass while she walked ahead of them.
In all honestly, Karina couldn’t care less. She could turn the corner and see Jae Wook kissing another woman and she wouldn’t even bat an eye. He could do whatever he wanted, as long as he didn’t bother her. Nevertheless, she knew that was impossible, because as soon as Karina thought he would leave her alone and take in his surroundings instead, he intertwined his fingers with her, and as she tried to pull away, he gave her hand a tug, almost as if he was warning her to not even try.
To say Karina was uncomfortable was an understatement. The two of them followed the tour guide throughout the museum, and all Karina could think about was how sweaty and nasty the man’s hand felt in the grasp of hers.
It has been a half an hour since they began to look around, and as they were stopped in front of a beautiful piece Karina couldn’t help but admire, Jae Wook spoke up.
“I need to use the bathroom, would you mind staying here?” He directs his attention towards Karina.
God yes. I'd be more than happy to. Please leave and never come back, Karina thought.
“Sure.”
The tour guide stepped in front of Jae Wook before he could make his way out.
“I can show you the way! There isn’t one very close to here, it’s a bit of a walk.” She happily spoke, eyes almost unseen as a result of her never-resting smile. It must be tiring having that job, Karina thought, with having to keep a smile on your face without the slightest falter, even in the case of an inconvenience. She could never do that.
“Thank you, I appreciate it”, Jae Wook spoke formally. “I’ll be right back”, he spoke once more, leaning down and planting a dry kiss atop of Karina’s forehead, and she almost gagged.
The two made their way to the nearest bathroom, and there Karina stood, still at the fore of the painting. She couldn’t take her eyes off of it, it was truly beautiful. The way the colors complimented each line, as though the picture could truly come to live. It was remarkable.
Being lost in her own thoughts, Karina failed to notice the woman that walked towards her and stood just about three feet away.
“It’s beautiful isn’t.”
Karina’s ears chirped at the sound of the feminine voice, and she turned her head to glare at whoever had made the comment, however she was immediately met with the side profile of what seemed to be an angel.
Karina had never seen anyone so captivating. The way your gaze was held beautifully on the artwork, where the piece couldn’t even compare to how prepossessing your visuals were. It was like she was at a loss of air, and she had never felt this feeling before. Karina has never been so lost for words, as it was usually the other way around, where the man was to look at Karina like they had never seen anyone as stunning as her.
Now, eyes still trained on your profile, she can understand how these men felt when they claimed to be awestruck.
“...y- yeah”, Karina was still in a trance, making it hard for her to complete a full sentence.
“I always come back to this piece whenever I visit, its magnificent”, you glanced over to her, and before you could meet her gaze, her eyes flashed back to the wall in an instant.
“Um...”, she needed to keep talking to you, so she tried to start up a conversation, where she again was never the one to do so.
“How often do you come here?” Karina asked, this time her eyes on you, and when you turned around to respond, her cheeks began to match the color of your beautifully pink lips.
How could someone be so engaging?
“Usually once a month, its like my happy place”, you allow a small chuckle to escape past your lips, as does Karina.
“That’s really cool”, Karina smiles, her voice wavering as she tried to keep calm, and she continued.
“Do you have any other works that you like?”
Karina watched as your eyes scanned the wall full of beautiful artwork, deciding if there was another that met up to the standard of the one you stood ahead of, however you shake your head.
“I love them all, but this one is my favorite”, you smile and Karina could practically hear her heart skip a beat.
Karina has never felt the feeling of butterflies in her stomach until now. She has never been so captivated by someone’s presence until now. She has never wanted to hold a conversation with a stranger until now. You made her want to do everything at this very moment. Karina wanted to grab your hand and walk you outside just to continue to talk about your love for art. She could listen to you all day.
Could a woman feel this way for a woman? Karina never thought of woman in that type of sense, as she was only ever set up with men her entire live, so it was inevitable that her heart was trained to find attraction towards the gender. Maybe meeting you thirty seconds ago was a sign that her heart could possibly open up to someone. And not just anyone... a woman.
“Want to know why I like this painting so much?” You asked, and began to move a bit closer to her body, still keeping a comfortable distance.
Come closer, Karina thought.
“Why?”
You smiled and leaned in, "because I made it”, you uttered faintly.
And there it was. The exact moment that Karina determined she could truly find romance in somebody. Nobody had ever made Karina feel such a thing, and she thought she might as well die alone, since nobody had ever held her attention. But she was wrong. Here you were, in the flesh, completely ripping the heart of Yu Jimin out of her entire body, unbeknownst to you.
“Are you serious?” That was all Karina could muster out, otherwise she might as well shout to the world that she found the one for her.
“Yeah. It was accepted into the gallery about six months ago. Cool right?”
God you had no idea how many butterflies were roaming the district of Karina insides.
“Y- yeah... that’s amazing”, she smiled and went on. “What’s your name?”
You gave her a warm-hearted smile and pointed over to the painting, where Karina was now faced with sign just bellow the piece.
Y/n Yl/n
How beautiful, was as Karina could think.
“How about you? What’s your name?”
It was natural that you didn’t recognize the woman, as she was dressed in the least revealing clothes there ever was to be, a mask on her face accompanied by the hat she had on in the car, and lastly a pair of circular glasses. She didn’t expect you to know who she was with such a disguise, but she hoped you were to realize once she took her mask and glasses off.
Maybe if Karina showed you who she really was, you would end up being a huge fan, and immediately want to continue talking to her. Nobody could ever pass up on the chance of becoming close with an idol, so it should be the same regarding you, right?
Karina allowed her thoughts to race ahead of herself, and she pulled her mask down, her glasses following.
She saw when it clicked in your mind, that you were being faced with the Karina of Aespa, one of the most famous fourth generation idols there is to be. She felt pride, and for the first time, she was happy someone was to recognize who she was.
Nonetheless, exactly opposite of what Karina had thought would happen, your lips turned upwards into a fair smile, and you nodded your deliberately.
“Ah”, you stated, “Yu Jimin. I’ve seen your face all over.”
Is that it? Is that all you had to say? You’re not going to ask for a picture? Or even bow? Karina was beyond confused, she had never met anyone who would react with such ease.
In addition, Karina noticed that her brain, usually trained to correct anyone that was to call her by her birth name, refused to tell you the name in which she preferred for others to call her. In fact, she found herself preferring you to call her Jimin apposed to Karina. You were already special enough to her.
“So you know who I am?” Karina spoke.
“Doesn’t everybody?” You laughed. “You are even more beautiful in person, it’s surprising.”
Hearing those words come out of your mouth, Karina couldn’t help but bring her mask back up to her face. She couldn’t let you see how flustered you made her. It was dehumanizing.
“Oh... thank you.” She looked anywhere but to you. “You’re beautiful as well.”
You chuckled and looked down just as she did, and if anyone was to take a look over at your interaction, it’s possible they would think the two of you were to not even be associating with each other.
But, before you could thank the girl, your eyes glanced over at a man who was making his way towards Karina, and you recognized him to be the one you had seen her with preceding your approach.
“I think it’s time for me to go now, I believe your boyfriend is here for you.”
Karina’s eyebrows furrowed, her lips frowning at the thought of you leaving so soon, but she turned around to see what you had been referring to, and was met with Jae Wook and the tour guide side by side, making their way towards her.
“No! He’s not my b-” Karina turned around to reassure you, however, her breath hitched, eyes almost even watering as she found that you were instantly gone.
She felt like a child that had lost their parents at a crowded event, searching aimlessly throughout the area, double... triple looking around to see where you might have gone. But it was too late.
Jae Wook had then came up by her side and took her hand, and Karina couldn’t even protest, she was too upset. Her mind was somewhere else at the moment.
She followed Jae Wook, eyes trained on the wooden floor as she thought of you.
She thought about how heavenly your voice was, like music played softly in her ears, and how magnificent your side profile was to look at. She could stare at it all day if she could. She needed to see your face again. She needed to find you.
You were the one for her, she determined it. And she will not leave this museum unless it was hand and hand with you
~
Hi everyone!! I’m backkk!!! I’m not sure exactly how many parts this will have, but I’ll just keep going until I feel the story is complete haha. Stay tuned for part two my loves!! 💕💕

Saw requests are open and silly me is dropping innn
Kai x reader who is a gymnast and wu is like;"lowkey you should teach them how to do flexible maneuvers so they dont get slashed and diced in combat" and so basically fluff of reader laughing and teaching her unflexible bf and co gymasticism? (Not sure if that's a word)
Tumbles (Kai x reader)
Note: Hi! Thank you so much for the request, I had so much fun writing this and I hope I did your idea justice!
Summary: Sensei Wu suggests you teach the Ninja some yoga manoeuvres to help build their flexibility and, as a gymnastics specialist, you thought it would be a piece of cake.
Words: Approx. 1k
Requested: Yes.
Warnings: None
Relationship: Kai, established
Timeline: Before Lloyd grew up (Season 2)
—
You and Kai had planned to go on a date tonight. Currently, he was training at the Dojo and you were on your way to pick him up. You didn’t swing by that often but it was nice to see Dareth and whenever you did stop by, he always managed to improve his trophy collection by an impressive amount which you found hilarious.
A small bell rang above your head as you entered the Dojo and you gave Dareth a small wave as you pushed past the beaded doorway and into the training room. The sounds of the grunts and “heeyaws” that echoed through the small Dojo brought a smile to your face.
You put down your bag by the door and stood by Sensei Wu to watch the rest of the sparring match, giving the Sensei a small nod as you entered. Kai was in the middle of his match with Cole when he spotted you. You gave him a cheeky wave and blew him a kiss and just as he was about to respond Cole decked him in the face.
“Oh crap! Sorry dude.” Cole apologised immediately, kneeling down to help him up. Your eyes widened and you rushed over to Kai. Trying to comfort him, you put your hand on his back and gave him a gentle pat, although it didn’t exactly seem genuine as you stifled a laugh.
“Babe- are you– hah- okay?” A small red splotch started to form on his cheek but he played it off as if he didn’t seem phased. He pat Cole on the shoulder and brushed it off. Despite his best efforts, you could tell he was trying to suppress his pain and you knew it was to try and look tough in front of you. You’ve told him many times before that stuff like that didn’t matter to you, but it still made you feel special knowing he wanted to look his best.
“Perhaps a lesson in evasion will do you good?” Sensei Wu suggested with a small hint of amusement etched into his words. You laughed and helped Kai over to a bench. He playfully rolled his eyes as he sat down and leant back against the wall.
“I was just distracted.” Kai mumbled, gently elbowing you as you sat beside him, your arm sitting nicely around his waist. Cole chuckled and began to pack his equipment into his bag.
“I don’t know… maybe you should stop by my gymnastics class once in a while.” You teased as you playfully nudged him back. “You might be able to learn a thing or two”.
Kai groaned and leant his head against your shoulder, rubbing his cheek with the back of his hand as he gave you a playful glare.
“Gymnastics?” Cole asked as he looked up from his bag. You glanced over to him and nodded with a smile. “Y’know… maybe we could learn a thing or two from you.” Cole suggested and looked over to Sensei Wu. The Sensei only tilted his head towards you in a way that silently asked: ‘are you up for it?’
—
A few weeks later you found yourself back in Dareth’s Dojo, however, this time you weren’t just picking up Kai. In fact, you were teaching him and his friends. You had agreed to help the Ninja improve their flexibility and reflexes by guiding them through some yoga poses and stretches. You had originally thought it wouldn’t be too difficult, I mean, they’re Ninja, they couldn't be too terrible… right?
Wrong.
“Is this it?” Jay asks as his neck cranes to look at you over his shoulder. His arms are all over the place and he tripped over his feet a good few times trying to get there but he managed a pretty decent Humble Flamingo pose. (https://www.pocketyoga.com/pose/FlamingoHumble)
You nod hesitantly as you approach him, watching as his eyes follow you when you tilt your head in an unsure manner. “Yeah… uhm the only thing is..” You trail off and carefully move one of his feet off of the ground.
“Wait-what?” Jay exclaims before unceremoniously falling over and onto his back, hitting the mat with a harsh thud. You wince and scrunch up your nose at the unpleasant sound as Jay groans, rubbing his sore head. You laugh softly and offer him a hand to which he swats away with a frustrated groan, laying back down on the floor with a huff.
Lloyd, who is sitting beside Sensei Wu on the sidelines, cackles. He had been lucky enough to get out of the gymnastics training today and was finding the whole thing hilarious. Throughout the whole session so far, his wheezing and muffled laughs echoed in the background as the ninja fell over again and again. After the first few falls he had stopped trying to hide his laughter and openly joked about their lack of coordination to his uncle.
Cole groans as he falls over after snickering at Jay. He lays flat on his stomach, grumbling with his face mushed into the mat. You smile and shake your head at him. You had to admit, it was amusing.
Kai laughed too, but he wasn’t doing much better. He was probably the least flexible out of all of them, barely making it this far into the lesson without receiving a fair few bruises. And despite your extra help he still managed to be the first to drop. He never complained though, which was surprising. Although, every now and then, you did see moments of frustration flash through his eyes. You snorted every time.
“I don’t understand your struggle, Jay. It isn’t a hard manoeuvre.” Zane comments, his metallic limbs allowing him to quite easily copy the poses you had shown the group. It wasn’t a surprise he was the best, still, a few particular moves had caused his joints to squeak.
“Yeah? Well, you’re a nindroid, Zane- Not all of us can just have robotic joints!” Jay huffs and sat up, looking to you for defence. You gave him a playful grin in return before wandering over to Kai.
You clasp your hands together, deciding it was time to move on. “Alright… maybe we should try something easier.” You mumble, tapping your chin. You look at Kai who smiles at you, giving you a reassuring nod.
“Finally!” Jay dramatically threw his hands in the air before standing up, cracking his back slightly as he stretched. “Ow..” He mumbles as he rubs his bruised hip.
Kai’s head whips around to Jay. He playfully elbows him, starting a minor squabble between the two. “You’re just mad you suck”
“You’re worse than me!” Jay pokes out his tongue, tackling Kai onto the sparring mat.
“Am not”
“Am too!
Sensei Wu sighs and a small, amused smile plays on his lips. Lloyd continues to laugh, his stomach starting to hurt at this point. He was practically rolling on the ground gasping for air. His laughing soon stopped however, as Cole stood, arms crossed, in front of him, casting a looming shadow across the kid.
Lloyd gulps and scrambles to his feet as quickly as he could and bolts to the door. Unfortunately for him Nya had just walked in with a plate full of fruit, blocking his escape. Lloyd groans. Nya gave him an odd look but still let him hide behind her as Cole approached, now very distracted by the food. “Why don’t you take a break?” She suggests, catching everyone’s attention and offering them her much appreciated fruit platter.
You nod and wave your hand, dismissing the session for now and smiling proudly as you watch them all scramble to get a bite to eat. Your smile grew as you felt a warm set of hands curl around your waist as Kai rests his head on your shoulder. His natural body heat never ceased to calm your nerves.
“You’re doing great.” He whispers, pressing a gentle kiss to your cheek. You lean back into his embrace and sigh softly, closing your eyes for a moment.
“Are you sure? Jay seems pretty annoyed…” Your eyes flit to the blue Ninja who, now, seems to be enjoying himself as he talks to Nya. You watch as he fumbles and drops his watermelon slice onto the floor and rubs his neck sheepishly.
“He’s having fun, I promise.” Kai reassures you, giving you another tight squeeze before letting you go, though one of his hands stays wrapped around your waist as he encourages you to talk with the others.

Heyy can I have Wu Chang, Mary and Joseph reacting to their s/o giving their mini pet versions more love and affection then them? They think the pets are too cute to not give attention to
Sorry if I made any mistakes English isn’t my first language :)
I do believe I’ve seen people write for Joseph’s pet receiving more attention than him, but here’s my shot at this.
Wu Chang, Mary, and Joseph getting jealous of their mini versions
Warnings: slight jealousy
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/128525aab4fb32a1710c771e8268d5b6/b7dd87304647807d-34/s540x810/32bde4606123bbec554fb02617f9f5672736c20c.jpg)
Xie Bi’an
At first, he thought the fact that you had a mini Wu Chang as your pet was pretty cute, until you began giving it more affection than you gave him.
Of course, he was happy that you were happy, but the bitter pangs of jealousy began creeping up on him.
‘Qin ai de - ah, you’re playing with your pet again... Well, please don’t let me disturb you.’
He wanted to say something else, but left as you hugged the mini Wu Chang to your chest.
He’d plan dates with only you and him (and Wujiu, if you were also dating him) and amp up the sulking if you had brought your pet with you.
‘Ah, I thought I had specified that this date was only for you and me, but you brought it along… it looks like you love it more than me.’ But of course, this was in a joking tone, no matter how he felt.
Expect a lot more of romantic gestures and pampering, as if he was saying ‘I don’t understand why you give the pet more attention than you give me. Look - I can treat you better.’
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0ec665b23b16bfac93a9b95a6f8092ea/b7dd87304647807d-83/s540x810/f9423411fe4836747c6fcbc8c861f3755875fe97.jpg)
Fan Wujiu
Unlike Bi’an, he was kind of annoyed that you had a mini version of him. What to cuddle him? Just ask. Want children? Well, that would be quite a conversation. Everything the mini version of him could do, he could do better.
So, when he saw you pampering the pet more than you gave attention to him, he was quite infuriated. Marching towards you, he snatched it from your hands.
‘Give me affection, then I’ll give you back your pet.’
While his directness can be appreciated, sometimes it would be too much. You explained that it was a harmless pet, and that you were comforting it because it was sad you got chaired first.
Hearing this, Wujiu calmed down and stroked the head of the mini him thoughtfully. ‘I did not expect these tiny things to be capable of feeling emotions. How interesting.’
Still, he’d prefer you go to him immediately after matches, especially since you could potentially get injured.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8e150f8dddb4dabb84b60268d2a21484/b7dd87304647807d-6d/s540x810/c31c3c676c7ba80e3d4f83ba62b15ffab596bba6.jpg)
Mary
Sometimes, Mary would get pretty insecure - was she a good girlfriend? There were many other good candidates in the manor, yet you still stuck by her side. She was sure that you would eventually leave her, so seeing a little pet that looked like her to keep you company reassured her a little bit.
That was until you began giving it more affection than you gave her.
She saw an example of this in a match you had with her - you had asked her not to go easy on you, so she obliged, leading you to be chaired. You were comforting the shivering mini Mary, which made the former queen quite displeased.
‘How dare you! You are my lover first, and then the owner of that pet second. Now, as we wait for your teammates to rescue you, shall we have a lovely chat?’
Slightly puzzled, you were rescued by your teammate and Mary continued to chase you.
Be prepared for intense courting, European style, after you finish every match. She can’t stand someone else sweeping you off your feet, even if it’s a mini version of her.
‘Ma chere/mon cher, I had Emma pick the best flowers for you. Now be a dear and let me braid these in your hair/make you a flower crown.’
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/5211f0cd8f5c0d9515de4c320d5f9fbf/b7dd87304647807d-10/s540x810/2953383c5abebc6ea97e3cf50650d4d9886347c8.jpg)
Joseph
The Frenchies are very similar in how they react to your pet. How lovely of you to have a little remainder of him every where you go! To By God, why are you giving it more attention than you give him?
He’ll also attempt to win your attention by going on more extravagant dates, and all in all spending more time with you.
‘Beau, would you like for me to show you some recipes that… Claude and I used to enjoy? Can you bring your pet? No, I’m afraid it may cause a mess.’
Out of your sight, he’d be rather petty with his mini version. From glaring to knocking if off the table, he’s not going to accept another competitor. Of course, he’d stop if you asked, begrudgingly, but be sure to reassure him that he’ll be the only one in your eyes.

I hope this isn't too cutesy of a request: Poor Raiden is stressed about being Earthrealm's Champion, training, the Wu Shi, etc., so the reader steals him away from his duties for a picnic that leads to a little outdoor sex. How explicit it gets is up to you!
use me as you like
a/n: i gotchu cutie. i, of course, gotta make it as explicit as possible.
pairing: raiden x afab!reader
warnings: nsfw (MDNI), nipple play, pussy eating, overstimulation, slight breeding kink
you’ve been planning this date for a few days now, made sure nothing was scheduled for Raiden, and made sure that the others knew it too
everything was perfect, the food was made perfectly, fresh and set up on the picnic blanket, the location was close enough to the Wu Shi Academy so Raiden wouldn’t have to worry about it but still far enough to get away
the sun is shining but the picnic blanket is underneath the shade of a tree so neither of you will get burned, and you’re wearing Raiden’s favorite outfit: a simple dress
you’d been planning this for Raiden because he seemed absolutely stressed out, dark circles underneath his eyes, an endless amount of tea leaves thrown out, and twitchy hands
poor boy needed a break, and you determined to get him relax for a few hours
soon enough, you see Raiden’s familiar hat crest over the slope of the hill, and you wave at him excitedly
his eyes light up in excitement and his slow walking pace turns into a trot as he sits down next to you and kisses you sweetly
he asks you what this is all about, and you say that you wanted to give him a treat for working so hard and that it looked like he needed a break from work
he smiles and squeeze your hand, thanking you for your effort
the next hour passes in blissful peace, you both eat the meal you’ve prepared: cute little sandwiches and strawberry cream cake
the conversation between you two flows easy and natural, and the two of you have moved onto drinking some calming tea you had asked the chef for
but, you can tell that Raiden is still stressed with the way his fingers wrap too tightly around the rim of the cup and the way his eyes dart around, as if looking for a hidden threat, and the way his muscles are tense and ready to leap at any second
you finish your tea and put the cup aside before plucking his cup from a bewildered Raiden and climbing into his lap
you cup his face and kiss him, his hands land on your waist and squeeze gently, and he groans into the kiss as you lick at the seam of lips asking for entrance
the two of you kiss slowly for while, and you slowly grind on him, smiling when you feel his cock hardening underneath his clothes
in a sudden motion, Raiden flips the two of you over, so you’re on your back, but he doesn’t break the kiss
he just settles his body between your legs, forcing them to spread and wrap around his hips, and he grinds slowly into you
you can feel yourself growing wetter and more desperate for more friction than just humping against each other, and you reach a hand down his pants
he stops you and grabs onto your wrists with one of his hands as he unbuttons the front of your dress with the other hand
he kisses down your neck with light kisses and latches onto your nipples, nibbling and sucking on them
you whimper, hips bucking upward as he worships your chest, leaving kisses and hickeys all over until it’s a mottled mess
you whine, asking him for more, but he’s content to just tease your nipples
finally he pulls away, looking dazed as he stares at your puffy nipples, and flips up the bottom of your dress
he releases your wrists to shuffle downward and trap your hips underneath his arms and nuzzles at your pussy through the fabric
you grow red but keep watching as he licks at your clit through your panties, his moans sending the vibrations through you
you grip onto his hair, pulling the hair tie out of his bun and letting the locks fall down, and you hold onto his hair that way
Raiden doesn’t seem to mind or care, just lapping away at your pussy until the fabric has a dark wet spot on it
finally, he pulls your panties to the side and properly fucks you on tongue, sucking on your clit and pressing broad flat strokes to the nub
you whine, hips attempting to buck upward, as you watch him eat you out
and yet, there’s still a certain tenseness to his shoulders and the way he grips onto you, and you pull at Raiden’s hair gently for him to look at you
he looks dazed as you do so, and the lower part of his face is covered in your wetness, and you almost just want to let him go back to lavishing your pussy with attention
but you focus, and tell him to let loose, that you’re here for him to release all his frustration on you, and that you’re sure you can take it
Raiden blinks at you, eyes wide, before asking if you’re sure, and you say yes
he immediately dives back into your wet cunt, slurping and licking at you like he’s never had a meal in your life
the change is more apparent, he licks into you desperately and fucks you on his tongue ruthlessly, and you throw your head and whine
he brings one of his hands up to smear your wetness all over his fingers before thrusting two of his fingers into your cunt, curling his fingers to massage the sweet spot
your back arches off the ground, and you moan loudly as he pushes and prods that spot, sending sparks of pleasure shooting up your spine
you can only it, riding his fingers, as he sucks on your clit and moans into it, causing you to whine and cum all over his fingers
he keeps going, grinding hips hips into the ground as he continues to fuck you on his fingers and bring you over the edge again and again
once he’s finished tasting you, you’re nothing but a puddle on the ground, sensitive and sore from how many times he’s made you come on his fingers
your wetness pools on the picnic blanket, and your come coats Raiden’s fingers that he licks off his fingers
he climbs back up, a feral look in his eyes as he kisses you dumb, and you can taste yourself on his tongue, and you whimper into his mouth
he pulls back to throw your legs over his shoulders and line himself up with your pussy, slapping his dick against your clit a few times to make you whine at the stimulation
finally, he presses into you and leans back down to kiss you as he fucks into you with rough and hard thrusts
he’s angled perfectly so that his dick hits against that spot, and it has you keening loudly into the air
he moans and doubles his efforts, hips slamming into yours so hard that every wet slap of his hips against yours hits your clit and sends jolts of pleasure flooding you
he sucks a dark hickey into your neck as he keeps fucking into you, and you come all over his dick, pussy clenching around him
but he keeps fucking into you with that steady pace, the only indication he’s even affected is the low growl he lets out into your skin, and you squirm underneath him
he just keeps his weight on your chest to keep you still, and he keeps fucking into you nice and deep and tells you to be a good doll and stay still
you whimper and try your best to listen, and your mind is going blank with how many times he’s made you come on his cock
there’s a creamy ring of your cum at the base of his cock, and it starts to drip down to underneath your hips, and his thrusts finally start to falter as he bites into your skin
you whine at the feeling, and he continues to mark you up, leaving bites and bruises along your neck and your collarbone
his thrusts start growing sloppy, and Raiden goes back up to kiss you, tongue melding with yours as he cums deep inside of you
he fucks you through his orgasm, and you whimper at the feeling of him filling you with his warm seed
the both of you pant into the air, out of breath and tired, and Raiden puts the full weight of his body onto you, leaving his cock inside of you
he stays there a few minutes, kissing you lazily and relaxing against your body
finally though, he gets off you and helps you clean up with some napkins you had brought, but he keeps his cum inside of you, and you can feel it leak out of you into your panties
you get up on shaky legs, mind still reeling from the amount of orgasms he’s given you and pelvis most definitely sore from how much he’s fucked you
he chuckles and hooks your arm into his so that you have something to balance on, and the both of you wander back to the Wu Shi Academy
right before you enter the academy, he gives you one last sweet kiss and thanks you for helping him to relax, he really appreciated it
you smile and say no problem, that if he ever needs to relax again that he can use you as you like
he groans at the comment and says you can’t go around saying those things, you’re going to make him want to fuck you again
you just say that you’re not opposed to the idea with a coy smile
he rolls his eyes and slaps your ass lightly before the both of you head inside, both sated for the time being

Love your writing for bi-han- but I want to see how you write Kung Lao a little more. I have a personal headcanon that Kung Lao loved bunnies..so I was thinking- what if hybrid bunny reader one day shows up at the academy and Kung Lao becomes smitten. Like full blown- protective- I’ve laid my claim to this one- no one touch her she’s mine and reader is just like “huh-“
Hop to it
Yip notes: Headcanon? I thought it was canon! Also sorry if this is weird but the way you worded your first sentence reminded me of what my professors would say to me when it came to my writing and idk it’s funny to me.
Pairing: Kung Lao x Hybrid Bunny! Afab reader
Warnings‼️: No thumping
Have you seen? Have you heard? The bunny girl in the Wu Shi Academy is hopping to and fro. Of course, you know who that bunny girl is. She is you!
You were just a girl looking for a safe place where no one would harm you and you could obtain food. That’s when Liu Kang found you. He found you munching on berries you picked from bushes that were near the Wu Shi Academy. You were worried that you were in trouble but Liu Kang was very kind to you. He informed you that you could stay with the Wu Shi for as long as you wanted and have as many berries as you desired. You were very grateful for his acceptance. He did tell you to not worry too much about the monks and warriors around. They won’t bother you at all. Well, he thought they wouldn’t.
He should have known better and realized Kung Lao would be excited to see you.
The first time he ever saw you was a magical moment for him. He was resting by the shade, watching everyone else train. He was near the blackberry bushes and decided why the heck not. He can go for a couple of berries. But when he went to get a handful he saw another hand grab them. He jumped back and yelped a little. That’s when your long bunny ears popped up from behind the bushes. You started to stand up and Kung Lao got a look at you.
He saw how your ears matched your hair color perfectly. You had a cotton tail that was puffy. Below your knees were actual bunny paws. Toe beans and fur! He was shocked. He’s never seen a creature like you. You stared at him while munching on the blackberries quickly, the purple juice staining your lips. Since he wasn’t speaking, you decided to hop away. You moved like a bullet with your bunny legs.
He stood there gawking like an idiot. It was only when Johnny began to speak that he became aware of his surroundings again.
“Finally met the bunny girl, huh? She’s a cutie.”
══💤══╡°˖✧🦊✧˖°╞══💤══
If only Kung Lao was that enthusiastic about gardening when he and Raiden were back in Fengjian. He’s working those monks to the bone. Since when did Kung Lao like oregano and celery?
It’s not for him. It’s all for you. The moment the garden seemed to be flourishing he grabbed the biggest vegetables and the ripest fruits and gave them to you like they were a bouquet of flowers. You were ecstatic and thanked him a bunch, even hugging him which captured his heart even more.
To everyone else, this crush that Kung Lao had on you was a surprise. It happened so fast. Raiden understood immediately. Kung Lao always had a love for bunnies. While all the other gardeners and harvesters hated bunnies since they would mess up the crops, Kung Lao was the exception. He would make sure none of the bunnies got hurt and would help bring them somewhere safe. He would never keep any of them since he knew he couldn’t stay with them the whole time. Might as well let them stay free.
But you! You’re around all the time. That means he can have you and love you, and cuddle you, and pet you, and…and…AND! Relax, Kung Lao! You’re gonna hurt your precious brain.
Oh, he couldn’t help himself. He did everything to get close to you and have you trust him. It worked. Soon enough he was next to you all the time, petting your ears and feeling how soft your fur was. His eyes would shine with adoration at every little thing you did. He found the way you eat to be adorable. Whenever you shake your cotton tail his cheeks would warm up from how cute it was. When your ears would flop around he wanted to play with them.
Yes, you’ve sure captured his attention and his heart. Now that he has you in his life he never wants to let you go. You’re just too precious and he would do anything for you. He would even protect you. He’s already been protecting you.
Let’s be honest, Johnny is a flirt. After his ex-wife left him and he hadn’t seen a female in months his eyes were on you. Yeah, he knew Kung Lao was smitten with you. But does that stop a man who thinks with his second head? Didn’t think so. That man had plans and Kung Lao was not happy with what Johnny was thinking.
“I bet she would look good in a Playboy bunny outfit. No ears needed.” He joked with Kung Lao.
All Johnny got in return was a death glare. He was not pleased with that perverted comment. He would have smacked the fuck out of him if it weren’t for Liu Kang being around. You don’t deserve comments like that, especially behind your back. That’s why Kung Lao does his best to respect you, love you, and treat you right. He’ll protect you from Johnny’s perverted ways. He’s a better man than him anyway.
It does explain why he was being more touchy with you.
Whenever you two would pass the others, Kung Lao would wrap his arm around your shoulders before carrying on. Or he would ask you for a hug which you never deny him of. You like being squeezed by his muscular arms. And of course, he would mess with your ears. He would push them back, flop them up and down, or try to make the fur on them point straight up.
For some reason you were not getting the hint that he liked you. The abundance of vegetables and his touches didn’t set off any alarms in your mind. You silly bunny! He had to say it outright for you to get the idea.
══💤══╡°˖✧🦊✧˖°╞══💤══
Kung Lao was really getting agitated with Johnny at this point. He wouldn’t shut up about how he could easily win you over even though he has done nothing for you. He’s never given you a compliment on how high you could jump or even found the sweet spot behind your left ear. Only Kung Lao has been treating you right. If you were to fall in love with anyone it would be him.
Something snapped inside of him. He couldn’t take it anymore.
“You’re a bigger fool than I imagined, Johnny. You clearly don’t know how to take care of a lady, let alone a bunny lady.”
You’re right, Kung Lao. But you didn’t have to say it out loud. My goodness.
“I’m the only one around here who has made an effort to claim her heart and protect her. I would never let you touch her even with a ten-foot pole. She’s mine, Johnny, get over yourself.”
“Huh?”
Your voice rang out behind him. When he looked at everyone’s faces which confirmed that you were behind him. Even Kenshi had an awkward face, and he usually had a grumpy expression. Kung Lao slowly turned around and saw you looking at him with a curious expression. Your head was tilted to the side and your ears were pointed straight up. Well, this is a little awkward.
“Well since you are so sure about her falling for you why don’t you ask her right now.” Johnny was getting sassy.
Immediately Kung Lao grabbed onto his razor-rimmed hat and was about to chuck it at Johnny but everyone was yelling at him to relax. Even you told him not to do it since there was no point in getting himself in trouble.
“There is no need to kill him! He never had a chance anyways.” See you said it yourself; Johnny never had a chance.
Kung Lao luckily stopped and turned back towards you. He shouldn’t be shocked, he was putting in the work. He showed you kindness. He was delicate with your fur and ears. He never made an attempt to pull your tail like some people did. You watched him gather all those yummy vegetables and fruits for you the first time he decided to talk to you. You knew at that moment that you could trust him with your life.
Johnny, and everyone in general, never stood a chance. You wanted Kung Lao and he clearly wanted you. You gave him a smile before grabbing his face and placing a kiss on his cheek. His cheek warmed up immediately which you found cute.
Oh my, he’s getting shy! Looks like the prideful and skilled Kung Lao was stumped by a cute bunny girl. You sure gained yourself a cutie.
Yap notes: I feel better at this point. Morning was rough but I think I'm okay. I just had to accept that it's not my fault that I didn't catch the signs and that I'll pick myself back up. I've drank about 2000ml of water which is impressive. But I need some salt cause I was giving myself a headache by accident. I hope nothing from this day affected my work.
